#cytopathology rocks! 👏👌
I applaud the WHO editorial board for adding LMIC representatives. But across four tumour volumes, only 4 of 74 editors (5.4%) are from LMICs, and all are labelled as “LMIC representatives,” as if appointed through special accommodation, not merit.
Ironically, 26 of 74 editors (35.1%) are from the U.S.—a country not even a member of the WHO.
When 85% of the world is reduced to 5% of the voices in WHO tumour governance, we must ask:
Is this science—or colonial residue dressed in academic robes?
