@FNBNamibia, I do not understand your position at all. When funds are stolen from a customer’s account and transferred electronically to another account, such transactions are traceable. It is possible to identify the receiving account and its rightful holder. Despite this, customers are repeatedly informed that there is nothing that can be done.
If a bank cannot adequately safeguard its customers’ funds or take decisive action to trace and recover stolen money when traceability exists, it raises serious concerns about its effectiveness and reliability. Customers entrust banks with their hard-earned money on the expectation that it will be protected.
This situation is becoming increasingly alarming. If financial institutions are unable or unwilling to assist customers in recovering stolen funds under such circumstances, customers may be left with no option but to place their trust in banks that are secure, responsive, and committed to protecting their clients’ interests like @NedbankNam@Nedbank.
