Sea turtles NEED healthy sand dunes and beaches. These pristine areas with their important heritage history now have some scars because of 4W driving which won’t just ‘blow over’ and will remain there for a long time. Please read here: https://t.co/PfSDvICtSq
Gnaraloo’s beaches and waters offer turtles the perfect spot for foraging, resting, mating and nesting. But during 2020, the beaches of Gnaraloo became subject to 4WD traffic that has never happened before. What was once a safe place for turtles and their nests is now at risk.
Please help us to protect the Gnaraloo turtles by keeping all vehicles off the beach and dunes. To learn more about the GWF, and watch an incredible short documentary, go to https://t.co/sQkXvE2tYA and to become a Friend of Gnaraloo.
During 2020, some 4W drivers have driven on the beaches and sand dunes, putting Gnaraloo’s cultural and natural heritage at risk of harm and destruction. Please, do your part for protecting Gnaraloo by staying on the tracks.
We have continued to work tirelessly during the financial year 2019/20 to protect the Gnaraloo Wilderness Area and are excited to share some of our achievements with you in our latest blog: https://t.co/2pPX7FjZ4J
Great to see this growing story covered in the national news. Do you want to see oil and gas companies shooting seismic and drilling just off Ningaloo? Imagine oil rigs just 18kms from the Ningaloo World Heritage area - that's about the distance from Cottesloe to Rottnest.
A proposal to potentially open the waters off Ningaloo Reef and Shark Bay for oil and gas exploration makes clear the industry’s intention to push into these ecotourism hotspots, environmental groups say. #wanews

The Ningaloo Reef in WA’s north-west is one of the world’s most diverse and healthy coral reefs. But as developers look to move into the area, there are concerns the reef’s very existence could be under threat.
Judith Lucy headed out on the reef to check it out.
