A look back to this fantastic moment a week ago - the #RedArrows sharing the skies with a classic Folland Gnat jet to help launch the team’s 60th diamond season display calendar.

The RAF is trying to remove the grave of Guy Gibson's dog from Scampton, but are content for the Home Office to house illegal migrants there, threatening our £300-million regeneration plan for the site.
West Lindsey District Council has now applied for judicial review of the proposal to house illegal migrants at Scampton. They have my full support.
It is clear that the best future for Scampton and Lincolnshire is the £300 million regeneration deal we have spent years crafting.
This is absolutely right in every detail. The Government are custodians of our culture - of our arts and our music and our institutions. They have a duty to protect and enhance them for future generations - not to treat them as collateral damage in a pathetic culture war.
On the immigration bill: The Home Sec claims to be going ahead with RAF Scampton because it will be "appropriate, sustainable, and cost effective".
Nonsense: it'll cost *at least £18.2mn* more than status quo for a year which is all the law allows: 🧵
RE: RAF Scampton
Read this thread to see the danger of the Govt's arguments: they bypassing local planning for inhumane camps at mil bases on basis it's an "emergency"
What's the emergency you ask? *Conservative failures at the Home Office* replies the Government lawyer...
Once the home to six one seven
Gibson's little piece of heaven
Front line now in culture wars
Jenrick laying down the laws
Braver men than Braverman
Chastise those who think they can
Cancel Eder, Möhne, Sorpe
Heritage to ragged pauper

This evening I had a very useful planning meeting with Scampton Parish Council, Lincolnshire County Councillor, West Lindsey District Councillor, and officials, to discuss our legal moves to stop the perverse decision by the Home Office to house illegal migrants at RAF Scampton.
SCAMPTON - what the heck? So, there’s a brilliant plan in place that promises £300 million to the site, 1,000 jobs, safeguards Scampton’s heritage, converts the Officers’ Mess into a hotel and continues the airfield’s aviation story. Please RT. @WeHaveWaysPod Shout loud, folks!
Sacrilege! My piece on why the decision to turn Scampton, the home of the Dambusters, into an asylum seekers' detention centre is not only historical vandalism, but a disaster for the local economy that flies in the face of the Govt's levelling up agenda: https://t.co/pQFXGx7Unt
FATE OF SCAMPTON - Pls RT! So, it's not good news, having talked to West Lindsey District Council this morning. They're expecting an announcement from the @ukhomeoffice on Monday. They urge everyone to do what can, such as sign this petition: https://t.co/Q1povdqja5
A trip out for a couple of hours today, Monday 22nd June 2020, to North Weald & I was very fortunate to see Aero L-29 Delfin G-BYCT was being prepared for departure.
She's gone to St.Athan for her annual !
It was great to hear Jet Noise at North Weald again :-)
