We’re currently playing the world’s most expensive game of dodgeball with approximately 47 surface-to-air missiles that seem very enthusiastic about making new friends at Mach 3.

No need to panic—our current evasive maneuver is officially called “the Cairo barrel roll with a side of existential prayer.” We’ve already burned through half our chaff, all of our dignity, and whatever was left of the in-flight Wi-Fi.

We’re estimating arrival time somewhere between “soon” and “please God let it be soon.” In the meantime, feel free to recline your seat, close the shade, and pretend this is just severe turbulence caused by climate change.

Flight attendants will be passing out complimentary earplugs and blindfolds. We thank you for flying Not Today Satan Airlines—where “close call” is just our way of saying “on time.”
