On Stage 5 of the Utah BDR, through the Uinta Mountains, was strikingly green and beautiful. And, we ended up at one of our favorite camp sites of the entire trip!

Stage 4 of the UTBDR was a little strange. First, it passed through 9 Mile Canyon - but skipped the rock art. Then, it ended in... WY?! But by far the most notable incident occurred when the tiniest baby deer darted across our path https://t.co/KDBOiH2sNt

I've always been intrigued by the Book Cliffs and experiencing them on Stage 3 on the UTBDR was *fantastic*.

I was significantly *less impressed* - to the extent of DISAPPOINTMENT at what we didn't find (🦕🦖🐱‍🐉) at Jurassic National Monument.

For what feels like the first time in a long time, I'm back in Utah searching for a little bit of R&R - that's right, Rock art, & Ruins! Kicked off the trip below a dramatic mesa with some pretty amazing history to boot.

For the first time in three years, we're headed to the Mojave Preserve. On the first of several days, we visited Mitchell Caverns and climbed high above Soda Lake to take in the expansive view all around. It's good to be back.
