I know you want Kentucky to win. I know you want Mark Pope to succeed. You have a huge platform. But the unnecessary drama has picked up over the years. We are all sick of having mediocre teams. There are lots of reasons why we didnt land certain people, passed on others, and signed the people we have. UK has a great roster. We wont know if its elite until the season starts. I do get why he said what he said. A lot of people feel that way. Lets get behind this team and our coach. And lets not create a bunch of drama and negativity. Let's be excited that basketball is here and root on our Cats.
@KentuckyMBB@CameronWaddle All these people saying no wins or losing record so quickly forgot that Pope set an all time college basketball record for wins over top 15 opponents in his first year at UK 🤦♂️ #GoBigBlue#BBN
@Twoburger911@LegacyBlue_UK The majority of the blame goes on Pope for sure. I was completely underwhelmed with last season, but also understand the injuries situation. I’m hoping this year is a lot better and I think Pope is doing everything he can to make sure we make a run in March.
@KySportsRadio And if yall covered Duke I’m sure that wouldn’t be the narrative but it would be something like, “Scheyer has had multiple #1 classes and zero Final Fours. How long can he underachieve with elite talent before he’s on the hot seat?” Duke media celebrates, you manufacture crises.
@BBN_Taye_UK@KySportsRadio Preseason rankings don’t matter and high school recruits matter less and less. All that matters is winning and Pope understands that.
@BBN_Taye_UK@KySportsRadio I just meant that the way they talk about it covers the facts, and highlights the benefits. They don’t drudge up every possible negative angle that could be found for every story.
@JayHazzeKY@mattjonesey32@KamWilliamsFN It’s very sad to me that KSR seems oblivious to the negative effect they have on BBN’s collective mentality … all they care about is KSR making money
@KSRonX I also loved the part where he says, “When our teams and our fans are all pulling in the same direction, you can feel what makes Kentucky special.” It’s something we should all remember.
I love this sentence from the J. Batt letter - “When our teams and our fans are all pulling in the same direction, you can feel what makes Kentucky special.” #BBN#SupportOurTeams
@KySportsRadio Another tweet for the purpose of the Matt Jones brand without caring about the name on the front of the jerseys he covers. Who is this tweet good for?
