April 5th is known as #GoforBrokeDay. The term was the slogan for an Army unit comprised of Japanese Americans from Hawaii and the mainland U.S. | @ocregister https://t.co/NVvF9rUYYY
.@USArmy has posted an article about the 442nd Regimental Combat Team on its website after its removal of webpages about the Japanese American soldiers of World War II sparked protests | @RafuShimpo https://t.co/u8mCZbin7E
Whose bright idea was this? The 442nd is the most decorated unit in U.S. military history.
This idiocy compounds the ignorance and wrongs done to Japanese Americans during WWII.

It's been recently discovered that the pages about the 100th, 442nd, and other AANHPI military units have been removed from the U.S. Army website. The JACL calls for the immediate restoration of these pages.

.@StaceyHayashi: “happy 12th bday to journey of heroes, the 100th/442nd RCT Manga/Graphic Novel ! time sure does fly by. this little book has had some big adventures in its lifetime. It also became a movie.... Go For Broke Movie”
#KaimanaHila was Senator Inouye's favorite song, so it's an inside joke that we put it in #GoForBroke. @kylekosaki who portrays young Dan plays and sings in the movie, and uses a vintage 1928 pineapple ukulele made by Kamaka Ukulele.

We all know about the heroic combat record of Japanese American soldiers during World War II. Less well known is how some of the same soldiers were used as bait to train attack dogs.
