On the first day of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, we are excited to launch a comprehensive mental health initiative to support the well-being of those involved across all our Junior Giants leagues. 💚

From practice plans to baseball cards, WOW Talks to parent trainings, we’re making it clear: mental health matters on and off the field.

We were notified that funding for our AmeriCorps Ambassador program has been terminated, effective immediately, due to the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency’s decision to cut $400 million in AmeriCorps funding nationwide.

While this decision affects the additional support we provide to our Junior Giants leagues, it will not impact the Junior Giants program itself. Our free, noncompetitive baseball and softball program will continue as planned this summer — and our mission remains unchanged: to reach underserved youth with life skills, mentorship and access to the game.

Our AmeriCorps Ambassadors have been a vital part of this mission — serving as trusted liaisons between our San Francisco office and Junior Giants leagues. We are committed to supporting them through this transition.
