@212Wavy_@AdamSchefter Slayton is significantly worse than Wandale and being paid just 3m less than what Wandale asked for. Could have easily been done. Cope harder I guess. π
That's called bad management. They could easily free up 18m. What have they spent the money on? Where did the other 282 million dollars of cap space go?
I'm not even a Giants hater. I was singing their praises after they hired Harbaugh. But they shit the bed in a big way with this one. All their eggs are in a gamble of a basket right now while you let WR14 on the season walk when all he wanted was 18m.
You as a fan of the team should be more willing to hold the front office accountable, instead of just sitting there blissfully ignorant while they mismanage their cap space so badly that they can't afford to retain one of their best players. Not like the guy was asking for a lot.
@NBA@BenStiller If Wemby can't draw fouls to put KAT in foul trouble the Spurs are just cooked. Wemby only having 6 shots so far should be unacceptable. Weird game plan by the Spurs for sure.

Yeah I mentioned in another reply that all of those guys have potential to be good and could definitely step up. But so far we haven't seen anything to indicate they will. I just feel like with Wandale you know you're getting a good player, but they gave him up to take a bunch of chances at a discount. I think Malachi is gonna be the biggest X factor for sure.
@2119a40449e54c6@stoolpresidente To be fair, this has been his worst showing all season. Looks a lot different when he's posterizing people without jumping and shooting deep 3s.
@pnwdutch@AdamSchefter I just feel like Robinson is proven and young and 18 million wasn't a big ask for what he provides. They did make moves that can pay off down the line but they could also flop as well.
And yeah for real, if Nabers goes down it's gonna get ugly.
Here's a casual take for ya, tell your front office to manage their money better so next time they have a good WR on the team they can actually afford to pay him 18 million. The salary cap is 300 million. If you can't afford 18m for a proven WR during a rebuild you're operating in poverty.
@212Wavy_@AdamSchefter Yeah because letting your 1000 yard WR2 who ranked top 15 in the NFL in receiving yards go when you have a young star QB to build around is such a casual take. π
@PatsPlanet_ I haven't liked Topps so far, except for the actual game-worn memorabilia. I just got into card collecting last year though so Panini is all I've known. Maybe it'll grow on me.
@PatsPlanet_ Recently, Mac Jones. Had a pro bowl season his rookie year then the team fell apart and he was criticized or forgotten by most fans.
Gaffney is another good mention. Had some good moments.
He has 1 1,000 yard season. We don't round up 900 yard seasons to sound better. And his single 1000 yard season was 5 years ago as the Bears WR1.
He had 160 targets that season. The next most targets at WR was Allen Robinson with 66.
But yeah he was a Wr2 with almost 3x the targets. π
Us Pats fans don't know ball though. π₯±
You can't claim the Giants have a good WR room and also claim to know ball at the same time.
Is it possible one of the depth WRs who have had unsuccessful careers to this point step up? Sure. Have hope.
Is there any indication it'll happen? No, no there isn't.
Giants fans should hold their front office accountable for not investing in Dart.
