AFCD tightens dog license inspection starting 1 June 🚨 #GoPaw
5 overlooked legal pitfalls most pet owners don’t know:
▫️Update microchip details within 5 days after address/owner change; mismatched info = invalid license
▫️Dog sitter/boarding keeper is legally liable if the dog is unlicensed
▫️5-month age counted from DOB, not adoption date
▫️No grace period once license expired, instant prosecution
▫️Foster stray dogs over 5 months also need valid licence
The weather has been erratic. It’s already scorching hot at the end of May, and temperatures will keep climbing. Heatstroke is a real danger to your dogs 🥵 #GoPaw
Daily walks are necessary, but owners must watch out for heat-related issues.
Swipe for temperature guides, heatstroke symptoms and easy cooling tips, save it for future reference.
Stick to early morning or evening outings and keep a close eye on your pup’s condition.
Don’t wait till your dog gets sick to take precautions! 🐾

Many people get it wrong, thinking only dogs over 20kg need to be leashed 😯🐾 #GoPaw
In Hong Kong, all dogs, regardless of size, must be kept on a leash and under proper control in public areas.
Rules are stricter for dogs weighing 20kg and above. AFCD runs the Large Dog Exemption Assessment annually. Well-trained dogs passing both evaluation stages are permitted to be off-leash legally in public.
We’ve compiled all eligibility rules, exam details and application steps for your reference.
Want to learn more about the off-leash permit? Comment "Large Dog" and we will DM you with extra information ✨
Important reminder: An off-leash permit does not mean no responsibility. Always keep an eye on your dog and clean up after them.
🗺🐾 Hong Kong’s pet-friendly scene just keeps getting better 🎉 #GoPaw

GoPaw is not just the fastest builder to align with Hong Kong policy, we are proving that a new standard for pet life is not only possible but already being embraced by pet owners across the city!
In Korea, you now have to take a course before you can adopt a cat or dog! #GoPaw 🇰🇷🐾
As part of their new animal welfare plan, all potential pet parents must complete mandatory pre-adoption education covering pet health, behaviour management, and legal responsibilities, with possible formal tests in the future.
Many people think love is enough to care for a pet, but most abandonment cases start with a lack of basic understanding.
While Hong Kong adoption centres already run eligibility checks, there is still no mandatory pre-adoption training. Many new owners only realize they are unprepared once they face real-life challenges.
Do you think similar mandatory courses would help reduce pet abandonment and build more stable homes for pets in Hong Kong?🇭🇰🏡

It feels like Uber Pet in Hong Kong exists only on the app, not in reality 🤷♀️ #GoPaw
Even with the Uber Pet option selected, paying extra fees, keeping pets leashed and fully prepared, many of us still face last-minute cancellations, cold attitudes, and unfair bias especially for larger dog breeds.
The policy is incomplete, platform supervision is weak, and there is no real protection or respect for pet parents at all.
We’re not asking for special privileges.
We just want basic fairness, understanding, and reliable transportation when travelling with our fur family.

Raising a pet is never just about feeding and taking care of them 🐾 #GoPaw
Many of us think providing daily needs is enough, yet we often overlook our fur babies have real emotions, thoughts, and their own little souls.
True companionship is about listening, respecting their boundaries, and feeling their happiness and sorrow with heart.
While we care for them, they also heal us and walk with us through every moment of growth.
May every pet parent love their furry family with more tenderness and understanding.🧡
