29 Days Until the @CSURams join the @pac12! 🐏
For Day 29, we are celebrating Glenn Morris (1930-1933), the farm boy from Simla, Colorado, who would become the "World's Greatest Athlete" 🥇
Long before the campus field house bore his name, Morris wore #29 for the Aggies, an end on the 1933 Rocky Mountain Conference title team. After graduation, Morris served as an assistant football and track coach, while continuing to train under Harry Hughes.
But his defining moment came on the world stage. At the 1936 Berlin Olympics, in only the third decathlon competition of his entire life, Morris broke the world record to capture gold and earn the undisputed title of the "World's Greatest Athlete."
A legendary, historic resume:
- 1936 Olympic Gold Medalist (Decathlon)
- Set the World and Olympic Record with a massive 7,900 points (which stood for 14 years)
- 1936 James E. Sullivan Award Winner (The nation's top amateur athlete)
- Colorado Governor proclaimed Sept. 4, 1936 "Glen Morris Day"
- Stared in movies as Tarzan
- CSU rededicated its historic South College Gymnasium where Morris trained as the Glenn Morris Field House.
Morris was drafted by the Detroit Lions and later served as U.S. Navy Officer in WWII, commanding amphibious landing craft in the Pacific.
A global standard of excellence born and bred right here at CSU. 😤

Most people quit because the mountain gets steep. The ones who make it to the top are the ones who keep climbing when adversity shows up. Your breakthrough might be one more step away. 💯⛰️

Ranking the order of importance for each Colorado State football game in 2026 is pretty difficult this year because it's a pretty darn good schedule. Lots of intriguing plots

For Day 31, we are highlighting a homegrown Colorado legend who anchored the secondary in Fort Collins and is now helping lead the Denver @Broncos.
Montbello's own #31, Ray Jackson (1992-1995)!
An absolute ballhawk and special teams weapon, Jackson helped lead CSU to its first-ever WAC championships in 1994 and 1995. His career milestones are elite:
- Program’s all-time leader in career interceptions (20)
- School record for the longest interception return for a touchdown (100 yards vs. UTEP, 1993)
- Blocked 6 career kicks/punts (including a legendary scoop and score against Fresno State)
- First-Team All-WAC and AFCA Good Works Team selection (1995)
Drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1996, he played six seasons in the NFL. Today, he’s back home as the Vice President of Player Development for the Denver Broncos.

30 Days Until the @CSURams join the @pac12! 🐏
For Day 30, we are going back to one of the most prolific rushers to ever wear the green and gold, and a player who carried his collegiate dominance straight into the NFL.
#30, Lawrence McCutcheon (1969-1971)
Before becoming a staple of 1970s NFL football, McCutcheon was the focal point of the CSU offense. A back-to-back First-Team All-WAC selection, he consistently wore down defensive fronts and remains firmly etched in the program's record books over 50 years later.
His career milestones in Fort Collins are elite:
2,917 career rushing yards (5th all-time in CSU history)
3,755 total yards from scrimmage
27 career touchdowns
2x First-Team All-WAC (1970, 1971)
His NFL legacy:
5× Pro Bowl selection (1973–1977)
6,578 career NFL rushing yards
Threw a 24-yard halfback option touchdown pass in Super Bowl XIV

It’s wild how enjoyable it is to watch Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) play basketball when he’s not flopping all over the place & getting cheap points from the free throw line.
Dude’s midrange is elite and he’s so darn shifty.
He has a killer mentality in clutch games.
