@tobi@scottastevenson This is great for automatic nervous systems and the like (trained/learn/objective/operate), but doesn't value cognitive pursuits at all. Maybe because ideas are abundant, and execution has value in this modern context. MENSA gets it right: gamification for escalating thought.
@Qchang_Rotten Wow in good shape! The spring pre-load adjusters were plastic and would strip easily. A heavey chassis, but the most beautiful engineering for its time. I have mine as well (with my Futaba Magnum Junior). Thank you for sharing!
@OfMikeAndMen They "crystal radio" I copied that circuit and built it on a piece of wood with an ear piece for science class. Not a winner though. The closet alarm that used the solar cell to know when your brother snooped was good, same with some alarm and sound circuits. Great memories!
@pothen Things have changed since the 70s seatbelts, airbags, drum to disc brakes, then vented, then ABS, poly glass tires to steel then radial belted, tire sipe design and compounds, manual to power to electric steering and Active torque diffs.
@Habubrats71 That's the A-12, not the 2 seater SR-71. The TEB tanks where for igniting the P&Ws. Now the Buick V8s used to start these birds is another story...
@omarsar0 This January I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of my maxillary bone. Quite a shock. Agentic AI and maintained context has helped so much through my reconstruction, and current radiation that I have hit milestones that many do not.
@sjmurdoch This article was a fantastic read. Although not in the cryptography space now, during my comp sci school days I wrote two reports I was proud of, one on emerging MIDI spec and one on Diffie-Hellman. Now I glance over OWSAP Zap reports lol. Thanks for the deep dive, will follow
@cbcwatcher When I moved for a time to Santa Barbara in the 90s ona L1-A from Canada I took two cars with me, and left a classic 57 for my dad to drive behind in Ontario. I can't imagine "pretending" I sold all three just to satiate what now feels like a desperate govt. Let alone Cgains!
@davidsenra Fantastic interview. Thank you for the deep dive with one of the best to manage both emerging digital rendering and the creatives that leveraged it, not an easy combination.
@RoundtableSpace Mario, helpful tip: http/s runs on TCP, the sedans are 'TCP Other'. This is FTP for file transfer, IMAP, SMTP, and POP3 for email, SSH for shells, or simple DNS calls to resolve host names.
@esherifftv What's interesting is that most of the Mercury astronauts seem to have been selected based on surviving an improbable or difficult event during their time as a pilot. As if they were pre-validated by insitu testing of their composure under stress.
