Thanks also to the wonderful pupils, parents and Head Teachers we met, along with the school patrol crossing men and ladies and the residents of Dundee who supported those walking. You all made the morning a success. You were all great!
We're delighted to say that @GoSafeDundee was launched yesterday, promoting road safety in and around our schools and across our City in general. We need to continually ensure that all people in our City are safe on our roads and pavements.
Many thanks to all those who walked to school to highlight how important this is for the children. Thank you to all the parents who helped in the planning of this event and for the police, all staff and councillors who assisted.
GO SAFE DUNDEE
We were delighted to take part in the @GoSafeDundee event this morning with our colleagues @DundeeCouncil and parents, promoting road safety around, and on the way to, local schools. A little extra time taken getting to school can make a big difference in safety .
Trainers on and raring to go to support @GoSafeDundee this morning. Keep all our children safe by walking them to school where possible, and parking safely and sensibly if you have to drive.
Pleased to join ward colleagues and local police & others supporting @GoSafeDundee by walking to @BlacknessPS from the City Square and listening to young people's views on travel to school
