Today we mourn the passing of Miriam Marie Victorianne Ortique, wife of Justice Revius Ortique Jr., the iconic civil-rights lawyer who went on to become the first African-American justice elected to the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Many who are fully vaccinated are understandably worried about Delta.
But take a minute to think of the billions of people around the world facing a similar Covid surge, but not yet able to access even a single dose of vaccine.
We must prioritize global vaccine equity.
