From today, Gojo is switching modes. 👺
No more “Web3 Wanderer” hype only. I’m now Gojo in Web3 – Global Economics & Crypto KOL with Athlete Mindset.
Macro analysis + Web3, but explained through basketball & sports lens. Why?
Because trading = sports: strategy, mental game, and quick reflexes.
saw a lot of fake hiring posts for web3 company on social, even on Linkedln. these fug scammers act sophisticately now.
below I will help you guys to avoid that kind of shits. i actually use Gemini to structure the steps but it my own expreriences so yeah, please noted it not to be scam. i been through a shit with this scam: Web3 Space
1. The "Soulless" LinkedIn Profile
Don't be fooled by a fancy title like "Head of Talent" or a suit-and-tie profile picture. Look at the "DNA" of the account:
The Suffix of Doom: As you spotted, a URL ending in a random string of numbers (like alina-m-a0393935b) is a huge red flag. Real professionals especially in Web3, take 10 seconds to customize their URL. A messy suffix usually means the account was auto-generated by a bot.
The "Incognito" Name: People who only use an initial for their last name (e.g., Ruslan Z.) are trying to make sure you can't Google their past. In a transparent industry like Web3, real people want to be found.
Zero "Human" Activity: If their profile has no real comments, no debates in the industry, and no endorsements from people outside their own "company," it’s a ghost town. It’s a shell account designed to hunt, not to network.
2. The "Global Giant" Illusion
Scammers love to make their tiny operation look like a Fortune 500 company:
Regional Page Spam: Why does a startup with no product need separate LinkedIn pages for USA, Europe, Asia, and Singapore? It’s a tactic to look "too big to fail" and to avoid being totally shut down if one page gets reported.
The "Logo Salad": They’ll plaster Polkadot, NEAR, or Binance logos all over their site. Rule of thumb: Web3 is built on proof. If you can’t find a tweet or a press release from the actual big project confirming the partnership, those logos are just stolen JPEGs.
3. The "Love at First Sight" Interview
Real hiring is a pain. It’s slow, it’s rigorous, and it’s full of skepticism. Scam hiring is the opposite:
Flattery as a Weapon: They’ll tell you you’re "the perfect fit" after 15 minutes. If the interview feels too easy and they aren't grilling you on your actual skills, they aren't looking for a teammate, they’re looking for a victim.
The Salary Bait: They’ll offer a salary that’s 20-30% above market rate to make you so excited that you stop paying attention to the red flags.
4. The "Final Boss": The Malware Drop
This is the only part of the "play" that actually matters to them. Everything before this was just acting.
The File Trap: They will eventually ask you to download a .zip, .dmg, or .exe file. They’ll claim it’s a "Project Brief," a "Technical Test," or their "Internal HR Portal."
The Truth: One click and it’s over. These files contain Infostealers that bypass 2FA, suck up your browser cookies, and drain your MetaMask or Phantom wallets in seconds.
My "Golden Rules" for You:
Trust the Domain, Not the Name: If they say they are from a company but email you from a
@gmail.com or a weird -jobs.net address, block them. It must be the exact official domain.
No Downloads, Ever: Legit Web3 companies use Google Docs, Notion, Figma, or Slack. If someone tells you that you must download a file to see the job description, they are a hacker. Period.
The "Proof of Partnership" Test: Ask them point-blank: "Can you show me the official announcement from [Big Project] about your partnership?" Watch how fast they start making excuses.
you dont have to believe me, you can check with any AI, they will help you to clarify. stay safe with your pocket
If you think you’re stupid:
Just know there's a guy out there who sold his organs to buy a NFT for $300,000 at the top of the cycle.
He's now down 97% and a kidney.
