We have EVEN less to go off of for friend than we did for Mike back during chapter 2 days to suggest them being important narratively/lore wise! With Mike Toby accidentally mislead us with the (non cannon) spamton sweepstakes into thinking Mike was more important than he was.

Before chapter 5 comes out I just wanna say that almost all Mike and Friend theories are just incorrect. Neither are actual characters that have relevance to the story of DELTARUNE outside of symbolic meaning. They have no motivations, no personality, nothing.

I love crack theories but I feel like I’ve gotten tired of seeing people assume friend is this hyper, super important character to the story when there is a large likelihood the same thing that happened with Mike will happen, which is nothing.
