The negative thoughts gnaw at me day and night, reminding me that the one person who truly knew me is gone and never coming back. The love of my life is gone and I'm stuck here without them. Each day I stop before taking actions even when I feel there's nothing left for me here.
I may be quiet, putting on a smile each day. But when I'm alone that smile turns into a frown and I think about my own ending frequently. Not every battle is obvious and after so long being sad in front of others, it doesn't register when things are getting worse to them.
I don't want to be the mature one anymore.I want to be childish. I want to tell someone bluntly how I feel and how they hurt me. I want to scream and yell at someone who I cared for who betrayed me. I want to let out all the feelings that are so loud in my heart without remorse.
...you lean away from them instead of trying to comfort them. The idea of me is the light in my that wants to be seen, the part desperate to be allowed out but is hidden inside the walls of trauma and pain I'm still healing from. So, if you want me, you need to fight the walls.
You don't want me. You just wanted the idea of me. Because the real me is sad most of the time, wounded from life circumstances that I keep trying to heal from. The parts that are wounded are the parts that are most terrifying to expose. When they bubble to the surface...
If you ended a relationship and realized they didn't go looking for another person, didn't go out partying, but instead started running, training, taking care of themselves, and distancing themselves from everyone so they could overcome themselves... I'm sorry to tell you that they truly did love you.
And I'm sorry to say you let a very good person slip away, one you won't find again... not even in another lifetime.
I don't want to open up to people who don't truly want to be part my life. I don't want to pour my love and energy into someone who holds a caution sign.
If I ask to hang out I feel like a bother when they say no or I feel like an inconvenience if they try to squeeze me into their schedule. I don't feel valued or genuinely wanted to be around.
