Unless y’all were already researching & planning to bring an animal into your home and a cool opportunity presented itself at the right time… animals are NOT GIFTS. If it’s not a cat or dog then it’s almost never cared for right. Hamsters, goldfish, guinnea pigs… so much work.
Today an autistic person will give up.
No one will notice.
No one will care.
Their response is always “..if only they reached out” or “lessons will be learnt”.
Why?
