As Nikandros grew of age: Hestaria offered him a.. "gift" for his good deeds, she was lying. It was a curse, a curse that with each person he saved by healing or putting himself in harms way- his body would slowly destroy itself, deteriorate. Until it consumes him whole. (3)

I'll explain a little lore that I have of Nikandros and the goddess: Hestaria in the replies below.

Nikandros grew up in the temple, caring for others who came to the temple to purify bad luck, etc. Hestaria was.. let's say, not keen on newcomers into her temple without her knowledge. Yanise didn't care for the punishment but Hestaria had a better, horrible idea. (2)

Oh to point this out for why the flame head for Genga: my switch when used, over time gets super hot also for being fired up to play games on my switch too lol.
