When it comes to doctrine, there is still a whole lot for me to learn and be grounded in. But whenever I look back at how the Lord has ordered my steps, there is far too much to be thankful for.
I can never underestimate how what you know of God can, in a very real sense, affect the quality of your life. One of my favorite testimonies of what correct doctrine has done for me is how I have generally become less anxious over the years through studying and meditating on the sovereignty of God.
There are other things I can point to as well, instances where a shift in my perspective through the revelation of God has continued to move my life in directions I ordinarily would not have embraced before now. It is this same experience of being anchored in God’s eternal wisdom that I hope others will come into as I expound the Scriptures.
False doctrine keeps people bound, and many do not understand the extent to which their vision of reality has been blurred until God, by His Spirit, lifts the veil from their eyes as they respond to His Word with meekness and surrender. People who insist on their own ways independent of God’s will always reap the fruits of such ideas as they live with a lingering restlessness that nothing they ever do can address.
If you go to a psychic or read horoscopes “just for entertainment,” the Bible doesn’t call it entertainment. It's called sorcery. Repent and return to Jesus.
Deuteronomy 18-10:12
Lord help me kill the taste of sin in my heart. Let my ruin not be sweet to me. My heart truly is prone to wonder, prone to seek after the passions of the flesh and the lust of this world. Revive me in your ways and cause my eyes to turn away from worthless things. Let me know rest in you that I may not spend my days in vain pursuits. Lord of my soul, show me again and again the delight of the cross, that my gaze may always be towards the risen King.

Do not despair over your life because of hard circumstances or because it is difficult for you to make sense of anything. There is a God who calls light out of darkness, the One before whom all of life’s circumstances bow.
Suffering and pain are not meaningless in the hands of Yahweh. For the greatest gift in salvation was wrought through death and blood. What should have been the end of Christ became the very path that leads to life. The God of the resurrection is sovereign over this world.
Your heart will lead you to inferior passions if you keep searching within yourself for answers. The more you indulge them, the more you silence the voice of the Lord calling you to come up hither. Look to Christ. Look to the One who has redeemed you by His cross.
When Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”.
The presupposition of the text is that Christ is not the only one with a yoke. The world has its yoke. Your flesh has its yoke. Satan and his demons have their yoke. But in all of their entreaties and demands, there is only one yoke that leads to true freedom and rest for your soul.
God truly does work in mysterious ways. I cannot even fully explain this as it is in my heart. There is a never-ending awe in just observing His works and His dealings in the lives of His people. Our God is great; nothing else is befitting of Him but to live in worship.
This is long overdue.
It also needs to be ongoing and widespread. Now, "Black women are three times more likely to die at childbirth. Black babies are twice as likely to be stillborn."

Christianity is a supernatural faith.
God forbid we reduce it to anything less.
Our God is alive and with us.
God forbid i accept a merely intellectual and bland faith without the living presence of Yahweh.
It is very possible to follow Jesus like Judas, enjoying the reputation of being in his inner circle but betraying Him over personal gain and pleasures.
It is possible to be amazed and captivated by Jesus like the crowd but turn away from Him when He insists that You eat His flesh and drink His blood.
It is possible to practice the superficial faith that follows without a cross.
You draw close with your lips while your heart is far away.
John 12:42-43 NLT
"Many people did believe in him............ But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.
For they loved human praise more than the praise of God".
If you feel nothing for Jesus and your heart has no affection for your Christ,
Leave the noise of performative religion and seek your Saviour until your soul is rescued from the deception of pseudo-Christianity.
Jesus is too real to be reduced to a popular imaginary celebrity.
Christianity is neither a game nor a scam.
You can carry a real cross, follow the real Jesus, and experience genuine resurrection.
Genuine Christians need to get used to the fact that although Jesus seems largely popular, He is still largely hated and unbelieved.
When you observe how many brands celebrate Easter with eggs and a "fashion cross," it serves as a reminder that many who identify with the Christian faith do so because it's the fashionable thing to do.
When it comes to the real following of the real Jesus, narrow is still the way, and few have found it.
Hopefully, we realise that Jesus didn't die and resurrect to be merely popular,
Hopefully, we realise that the church's mission is not to make a celebrity out of Jesus but to affirm and demonstrate His Lordship and Dominion over His creation.
