🚨 Congress’s $17M Predator Slush Fund: 357 Cowards Just Buried the Names

Congress has secretly funneled over $17 million of taxpayer dollars into a slush fund to quietly settle sexual harassment (and other) claims in their offices—covering up misconduct for decades while the public foot the bill.

Today, only 65 brave souls voted to release the names of the guilty congressmen who abused this system.

357 cowards voted to “refer it to committee”—aka bury it forever.

This is the rotten heart of Washington: protect the predators, shield the powerful, and screw the people who pay their salaries.

How many of these creeps are being blackmailed right now? How many votes, policies, or secrets are being traded to keep their dirty laundry hidden?

Time to drain the swamp for real. Release the names. End the cover-ups.

[adaora colours @GodfatherAdaora]

@AOC @MollyJongFast Wild as hell that you voted no to releasing that information

[Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie]

I cosponsored this resolution and will vote with Rep Nancy Mace today. If your tax dollars were used to settle sexual harassment claims against members of Congress, you should know about it.

@The_Only_Barbie @RosaLee40899460 She always speaks to clients like this & never been shy about it (hence her posting this video). She makes it very clear that you should not book with her if you’re unwilling to big chop if needed. There’s plenty of other stylists that will babysit damage she just ain’t one of em

@primesaaac @milkmeho_ (2) and to be all the way real, gay men are not somehow void of misogyny because they’re gay. You feeling like most gay men are feminist is really strange to me. Just like white gay men still be racist as hell and them being gay doesn’t absolve them of their antiblackness.

[adaora colours @GodfatherAdaora]

@primesaaac @milkmeho_ Nobody said every single gay man is misogynistic lol you’re doing the thing yts do. you’re speaking to an experience that you know nothing about. I’m GAY so I’m in community with GAY MEN; it is important to me how I’m treated in spaces that are supposed to “be safe”

[adaora colours @GodfatherAdaora]

@primesaaac @milkmeho_ …some women are homophobic for sure lol. This conversation was about misogyny from gay men so why deflect? can we focus on the topic which is gay men’s misogyny? When I’ve brought this up to my gay male friends they don’t deflect lmao this is a dishonest way to engage.

[adaora colours @GodfatherAdaora]

@seemstra896700 @milkmeho_ @rllyhis It’s not the same and it’s not a minority. & gay men absolutely should have the conversation about being used as props by straight women it’s just that that that’s a separate conversation. It’s disingenuous to bring that up when folks tryna talk about the harm you’ve caused.

[adaora colours @GodfatherAdaora]

@rllyhis @milkmeho_ As a gay woman, the misogyny I experienced from my gay guy friends is unique and doesn’t necessarily present itself the same way coming from straight men, but *absolutely* present lol.

Discerning when to stand your grand and when to own your mistakes is an integral part of liberation work right now.

The human condition of rigid self righteousness and the need to dominate others is playing out across timelines on many different scales.
