You can talk yourself in circles about happiness and fulfillment but at the end of the day, if youre not in tune with the people you came from or the children youll leave behind, then you missed the point entirely. nothing else will ever plug the hole in your soul like family will, and God help you if you wake up too tired and broken to play with your kids because you spent your whole life chasing phantom validation from strangers on the internet. youll end up an old man with a bank account and a heart full of regrets, wondering where it all went and why your own blood feels like a foreign substance pulsing through your veins.
Half of intelligence is small talk. The ability to turn the mundane into a stretching laughter. Also, intelligence cannot be claimed, it's inferred by your audience. It's they that then decide if you are intelligent or otherwise.
@XivTroy So true,
Actually a truly intelligent person is one that can talk to anyone educated or uneducated without making them feel stupid. They are able to come down to anyone’s intellectual level and still hold a solid conversation.
My daughter ran for student council president in sixth grade last year. So did a quiet boy named Ethan. My daughter is a lot of things, but quiet is not one of them. She made posters, she made buttons, she gave a speech that made the principal laugh. Ethan's speech was about two minutes long. He said he wanted the school to have a lost and found that was actually organized, because he'd lost his jacket in October and it was at the bottom of a box with three hundred other things.
