@LarAtLarian Why not just use Google and art books then? People keep saying AI is a tool like a screwdriver or a hammer when in reality it is just replacing something human. Thought, speech, discussion, sketching a rough idea, etc. Is it really worth the negative PR and planet's resources?
While I appreciate that they say everything will be human-made in the final game, and Larian has certainly earned good will, it’s bizarre to be okay with using genAI for internal concept art, placeholder text, PowerPoints, etc, which is still stealing from others. Plus you openly admit it hasn’t brought big efficiency gains (which I’d still be against it anywho). That just sucks.
If you're using generative AI for concept art then yes, you DID use AI generated content in your game.
What the hell makes you think visual artists don't deserve the same respect as actors and writers?
Larian CEO confirms the studio is using generative AI to "explore ideas, flesh out PowerPoint presentations, develop concept art and write placeholder text."
He says there won’t be any AI-generated content in Divinity — "everything is human actors; we’re writing everything ourselves."

Watching the average "gamer" play Silksong taught me that people are dumb as bricks at adapting to any given situation that doesn't resolve itself and it makes me appreciate Team Cherry more
every time I'm reminded of how people complained about Silksong DISRESPECTING their TIME I remember that the runback which everyone was pissing and shitting over is literally 30 seconds long
Thank you to everyone who still plays Project M. Thank you to the Project+ team for carrying the torch.
Thank you all for a decade of believing and supporting from the walls.
