The Brazilian Government GCUB Scholarship is open and most people who qualify have no idea how to position themselves for it.
Next Saturday we are hosting a free masterclass where I will walk you through exactly what successful applicants do differently. The strategies, the documents, the positioning techniques that actually work.
We have supported over 20 scholars who won this scholarship. Some had low GPAs. Some had study gaps. What they all had in common was the right preparation.
This is a fully funded opportunity and the window to get it right is now.
Saturday 13th June. 2PM WAT. Free. On Zoom.

A lot of scholars quietly remove themselves from the running before any committee ever gets the chance to consider them.
Not because they are unqualified. But because they have convinced themselves that a low GPA is the end of the conversation.
It is not.
Scholarship committees are not just reading transcripts. They are trying to understand who you are, what you have done with the opportunities you have had, and what you are likely to do with the ones they are about to give you. Your GPA is one part of that picture. It is rarely the whole thing.
What actually moves committees is evidence. Research experience that shows you can think independently. Leadership that demonstrates you take initiative. Community work that reveals your values. A personal narrative that connects where you have been to where you are going in a way that feels coherent and convincing.
Applicants who win with lower GPAs are not winning in spite of their grades. They are winning because they understood early enough that the application is bigger than the transcript and they built accordingly.
If your GPA is not where you want it to be, the question worth asking is not whether you should apply. It is whether the rest of your application is strong enough to carry the conversation forward.
In most cases, that is entirely within your control.
After several weeks of consultation with the school authorities with little to no impressive result And having consolidated with a 3-weeks lecture boycott. All to a futile endeavour.
Today, we activate the third C of Aluta. We Confront.

Implementing a change without a proper structure to help the masses is disheartening.
The stress from academics is enough, mobility should be the least of our problems.
A proper system, a proper brain functioning. Academic excellence has just got even more difficult!

@microbialawyer It's the same strategy everywhere...
"Yakubu manage!!"
Hiding behind "change is difficult".
So sad.
That means I have to sleep over to make one man's 7am class๐คง
Learning is difficult already, must movement also be.
As the Genomics and Health Symposium 2026 approaches, anticipation is building across Africaโs scientific and health communities. Hosted by the Institute of Genomics and Global Health (IGH), this yearโs gathering promises to be more than just another academic event;
Personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces will train at IGH in clinical research and genomics, strengthening disease surveillance and response through a new partnership between MODHIP and IGH.
