Pete Edochie chose Obafemi Awolowo over Zik and over every other Igbo politician of their day. He gave his reasons based on verifiable facts for his choice, he said Awolowo introduced free primary education in the South West and every child living in that region, irrespective of tribe benefitted from it. He said Awolowo brought the first Television station in Nigeria. It was two or three years later that South East got theirs.
At the end, this illustrious son of Igbo land wondered why Awolowo never became Nigeria's president. His second favorite politician back then was Michael Okpara.
There are two groups of idiots that emerged from Pete Edochie's remarks: 1. Igbo idiots who got angry at him for what they perceived as preference for others over his tribes men. They are angry, sad and disillusioned that Pete spoke highly of a Yoruba man. The truth or lies about what he said means nothing to them, that's why they are idiots.
2. Yoruba Idiots who gloated with what Pete Edochie said to boast about how their tribe is the best thing to have happened to the blue planet since the asteroids delivered water from outer space. They used it to brag about how they are better than the Igbos. Their bloated jingoism blinded them from seeing the beauty of the character that just exemplified a path everyone should follow.
When it kills you to accept the truth that the finest human beings are not from your tribe, religion and ethnicity, you are an IDIOT. The things you complain about someone else you will shut up when another you 'like' because of tribe, religion and some other sentiments do same or worse.
You'd rather choose the most vicious and deplorable lot who are from your tribe and religion over them. You are wasting brain, you shouldn't have one at all.

Happy 25th birthday to the first Arsenal player to score for England at both the men's World Cup & the men's European Championships and the only Arsenal player to either score or assist against every side he has played 2+ games against in the Premier League.
Happy birthday, Bukayo Saka. 🥳
I heard someone say, satan got adam and eve to fix their eyes on one tree when god had already given them an entire garden, think about that. The enemy didn't have to convince them that they had nothing. He just had to make them forget everything that they already had. And he still, till this day, uses the same strategy. He gets us to focus on relationships we don't have, the job that we don't have, the opportunity we don't have, the healing we haven't seen yet. Meanwhile, we are blind to the countless prayers god has already answered. Gratitude isn't pretending you don't want more, it's refusing to let what you don't have make you forget the goodness of god that's already surrounding you.
