⚠️ Confidence Fraud Warning
I have been made aware of a fraudster on X who has defrauded at least one elderly military veteran of out of a large sum of money then blocked the victim from contact using their perceived notoriety and connections to other large X accounts.
This individual proceeded to connect and refollow this private elderly veteran victim and over the span of two months was able to extract a large amount of money claiming an immediate financial need for their business venture on social media using flirtation and innuendos, then ended communication with the victim and eventually blocked them from contact on the x platform after extracting the funds through wire bank transfers the victim sent.
The victim has filed complaints with their financial institution, local and federal authorities who cover senior citizen victims and general fraud complaints (FBI).
The victim did not include important information in their complaints about the entirety of what took place during the two month scam because of clouded though, stress which has taken a toll on the victims physical and emotional health with weight loss, depression and guilt for falling for this trap.
A quick rundown on what classic confidence fraud is.
Confidence fraud (also known as a confidence scheme, confidence trick, con game, or confidence game) is a type of scam where the perpetrator first gains the victim’s trust (their “confidence”) and then exploits that trust to defraud them of money, property, or information.
Scammers use psychological manipulation. They build fake relationships over time, weeks or months by:
• Creating phony profiles and stories.
• Exploiting emotions like romance or compassion.
• Introducing fake emergencies into the conversation to ask for money.
• Moving chats to private direct messages or apps to avoid detection.
They exploited notoriety on social media using their connections to famous X personas to build quick trust and credibility.
Once hooked, they convince victims to send money, then vanish or block the victim. Which is what this scam artist did.
Never send money to someone you met only online. Verify identities. If money is requested, stop and talk to family.
Report it. Share this. Scams thrive in silence.

The worry is that this person has possibly done this to others, and there is a need to make sure this does not happen to anyone again.
The victim said they were so emotionally distraught about the entire ordeal that they deleted their dm’s and eventually deactivated their account which has since been reactivated. Hopefully authorities will be able to recover these messages and look into this.
X should be a safe place for everyone

My friend @ByronDonalds faced two death threats last week and now Jay Collins’ advocates are depicting him as Hitler.
This is totally inappropriate. I hope Jay Collins denounces this sick and hateful crap.
The very same thing happened in California in 2022 in the Mayor’s runoff.
Caruso was winning Election night on June 7th. Then by June 15, Bass had overtaken him with mail in ballots.
Funny how that happens in CA.
🚨McDonald’s employee in ICU after coworker poured hot oil on him. Yes, victim is white and suspect is black.
Senseless actions! What would possess someone to be that cruel? Victim will never be the same.

We took a family trip to the Lincoln Monument tonight to check out the new reflecting pool.
Absolutely stunning. DC is so beautiful again, just in time for our Nation’s 250th.
Thank you, President Trump!! 🇺🇸
