Nigeria’s problems didn’t start with coups, oil-boom corruption, or even the civil war. They started the moment we chose not to break from the colonial order — when our first Prime Minister became the polite face of a system designed to keep us dependent and divided.
@Saktad_1971@Yemi_of_Lagos Do you see the massive love anambra people have for Obi? Even in other states like Lagos, he still beat their former governor hands down
@Sobayo_AJQ@Yemi_of_Lagos@crownbeetalks No na, it doesn't mean he is righteous. Being "competent" means he's by far the best man for the job compared to other popular aspirants. People wey get sense use strategy to sell their best candidate. And factually, he's actually the best man for the job.
BREAKING: 48 hours after Tinubu's @inecnigeria chairman deletes the name of David Mark NWC-led from their website, 345,432 Nigerians have registered with the ADC.
The numbers are staggering.....
@SaharaReporters Nnamdi Kanu was sentenced to life for a radio broadcast. Real terrorists would be rehabilitated and reintegrated a "repentant" citizens. Shame!
Personal closeness to Azikiwe doesn’t erase political realities. Awolowo was the only major civilian leader with the credibility and support base to stabilize Nigeria post-coup. @renoomokri @ArewaFactsZone
@renoomokri Ifeajuna's Personal closeness to Azikiwe doesn’t erase political realities. Awolowo was the only major civilian leader with the credibility and support base to stabilize Nigeria post-coup. That’s why even after the coup failed, both Gowon and Ojukwu courted him.
@renoomokri The fact that Ifeajuna didn’t immediately free Awolowo does not disprove the theory. The coup collapsed within hours; most plans were aborted mid-way. Evidence from interviews and declassified records shows Awolowo was indeed the intended civilian leader if the coup succeeded.
@renoomokri Yes, Gowon freed Awolowo officially. Ojukwu couldn’t have unilaterally freed him. But Ifeajuna and others did see Awolowo as the political endgame of their coup. The denial of this is itself revisionism.
@renoomokri Ojukwu personally courted Awolowo with the offer of Eastern secession leadership if he supported Biafra. That meeting happened and is not a “Radio Biafra lie.”
