@LUTHER_Lyrical@ozii_baba What is important here is that let's all live!
You can't force anybody into your race whether for good or bad... The insult and bants started from PO supporter first.
Let's be civil in our approach to make people believe in our struggle for freedom from APCPDP.
MORNING!
BREAKING: We've urged the government of President @officialABAT to immediately and unconditionally release journalist @sowore and drop all charges of criminal defamation and cybercrimes against him, as he is detained solely for the peaceful exercise of his human rights.
According to reports, a federal high court in Abuja today ordered the remand of Sowore at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending the hearing of his application challenging the revocation of his bail. The court made the order after dismissing an application by Sowore seeking the judge’s recusal from the case on grounds of alleged bias.
We are concerned about the escalating crackdown on the rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, association and media freedom and the flagrant disregard for the rule of law by Nigerian authorities.
Nigerian authorities should safeguard, not stifle, human rights and the rule of law in the country.
Nigerian authorities must immediately release Sowore and drop all the bogus charges against him. Authorities must stop weaponizing criminal defamation and cybercrime laws to target and attack journalists, bloggers, human rights defenders and activists and stop detaining and imprisoning them solely for doing their jobs.

Justice Mohammed Umar refused to recuse himself from presiding over my case and then ruled that I be remanded in custody, I addressed our Comrades on the solid need to remain resolute in pursuit of justice. There is no going back #RevolutionNow#Sowore2027
When I was Muslim, I never asked who built the golden calf. I just knew it was a sin in the desert.
Then I read both accounts and one detail stopped me cold.
In the Bible, the man who builds the golden calf is AARON. Moses’ own brother. The first high priest. Exodus 32:4.
He gathers the gold, melts it, shapes the idol. And when Moses confronts him, he gives the weakest excuse in scripture: “I threw the gold in the fire and out came this calf.” As if it made itself.
Bro. The Bible just put the worst sin in the camp in the hands of the holiest man in the camp.
You would NEVER write that if you were protecting your prophets.
Now read the Quran. Surah 20. Aaron is cleared. Innocent. He tried to stop it. The blame goes to a mystery man called “al-Samiri.” The Samaritan. Surah 20:85.
You know what shook me? The Bible incriminates its own high priest.
The Quran writes him an alibi and invents a villain.
One reads like an honest record. The other like damage control.
And there’s a second problem with that villain. “The Samaritan.” But Samaritans didn’t exist in Moses’ time.
The city of Samaria wasn’t founded until about 500 years later, under King Omri. 1 Kings 16:24.
It’s like putting a Texan at the Last Supper.
Now, some Muslim scholars push back — they say “Samiri” means something else. I’ll be fair, that argument exists. But their own classical commentators read it as “the Samaritan” for centuries.
The defense only works by re-translating away from how the tradition always understood it.
I used to say the Bible was corrupted. But the Bible is honest enough to say the high priest built the idol.
Only a book honest about how bad we are could point me to a Savior real enough to fix it.
The Bible never flattered Aaron. It didn’t flatter me either. It just told me the truth, and handed me Jesus.
It's the same mentality that makes people say, "All pastors are the same."
People are so used to evil and wicked men who walk with demonic wisdom and manipulative skills that even when a good pastor appears, they spend more time criticising the good ones for their meekness, sincerity, and "lack of swagger"
We have become so accustomed to wicked leaders that we believe any genuinely good one is either pretending or isn't powerful enough to effect a change.
I expect Nigerians to have learned over time to prioritise certain values based on our current situation.
I wonder why "fluency of speech" and "political wisdom" are more appealing to us than integrity, prudence, meekness, and compassion.
Those who claim this man is just another regular politician are either dishonest or genuinely uninformed.
Ultimately, the kind of leadership we hail and support reveals our personal values and principles.
This should be a no-brainer.
I wholeheartedly reject the six-month extension granted to the Comptroller-General of Customs after he should have retired nearly two years ago. This kind of wrong-headed policy is a morale killer in public institutions. It undermines professionalism, blocks career progression, and sends the message that rules apply only to some while others enjoy political favoritism. No institution can thrive when due process is sacrificed for personal or political convenience. #Sowore2027 #TinubuMustGoNOW
@BOTAD01 Perfect description of "Mere men".
Very empty set of human beings.
So, in his mind now he has advanced... What a pity!
When Judges are collecting houses from politicians, ki lo tun ku?
Nigeria is full of small men, people without honor!!
BREAKING: We’re seriously concerned about the reported revocation of bail granted to journalist @sowore by the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations of cyberbullying based on the alleged social media posts he made last year concerning President @officialABAT
The court also reportedly issued a bench warrant for Sowore's arrest in connection with the charges brought against him by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The revocation of Sowore's bail constitutes the latest escalation in a pattern of continued harassment and reprisals against him in retaliation for the legitimate and peaceful exercise of his human rights.
We are seriously concerned that @sowore continues to face spurious charges and targeted reprisals, including harassment through abuse of judicial processes, because of his human rights work and outspoken advocacy for reforms, accountability, and the rule of law.
We are concerned that measures of this nature, particularly in cases involving criticism of public officials and matters of public interest, risk creating a chilling effect on journalists, activists, civil society organisations, and other citizens seeking to exercise their constitutionally and internationally guaranteed rights to freedom of expression and access to information.
We are further concerned about the broader pattern of legal actions, arrests, prosecutions, and other measures targeting activists, journalists, and government critics under the government of President Bola Tinubu.
Such actions risk fostering an atmosphere of fear and self-censorship that is incompatible with democratic governance, the rule of law, accountability, and respect for human rights.
The right to criticize public officials and government policies is a fundamental component of any democratic society. Public officials are required to tolerate a greater degree of scrutiny and criticism than private individuals. Legal processes should never be used, or be perceived as being used, to punish, intimidate, or silence dissenting voices or those engaged in legitimate public-interest advocacy.
The revocation of Sowore's bail raises persistent concerns regarding due process, the selective application of the law, and restrictions on the constitutional right to liberty. It is inconsistent with the principles of the presumption of innocence, equality before the law, and the right to liberty, which are guaranteed under the Nigerian Constitution 1999 (as amended), the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Nigeria is a state party.
The right to bail is fundamentally linked to the principle of the presumption of innocence, which requires that individuals not be treated as guilty before their guilt has been established by a competent court of law.
Restrictions on liberty before a final determination of guilt must remain exceptional, necessary, and proportionate. Pretrial detention should be a measure of last resort, and any limitation on individual liberty must be justified by compelling and lawful grounds.
The revocation of bail in circumstances that may discourage the exercise of human rights and fundamental freedoms raises serious concerns regarding access to justice, judicial independence, and the rule of law in Nigeria.
The Nigerian authorities must immediately drop all the unjust charges against Sowore, reverse the revocation of his bail, and withdraw any measures that arbitrarily restrict his liberty.
The Tinubu administration must ensure that Sowore is able to carry out his journalistic and human rights activities and exercise his right to freedom of expression without fear of harassment, intimidation, arrest, or reprisals.
The administration must also end the growing authoritarian practices, uphold the rule of law and ensure respect for the human rights of everyone in Nigeria, including the rights to liberty, a fair trial, freedom of expression, freedom of association, and peaceful assembly.
The administration should undertake comprehensive reforms to ensure that the administration of bail is fully consistent with Nigeria's constitutional and international human rights obligations.
Such reforms should safeguard the right to personal liberty, strengthen access to justice, prevent arbitrary detention, and ensure the fair and equal treatment of all persons before the law.
