NMUN has started! Our delegation is very excited to be part of this event, gathering hundreds of university students from all around the world. What we can already conclude: Whether virtual or in presence, the conference remains a unique experience!
At NMUN 2021, the Executive Committee of the UNHCR will discuss the following topics: I. Forced Displacement Due to Climate Change, II. Ensuring Access to Safe and Sustainable Energy and III. Improving Employment Opportunities for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

The UNEA addresses critical challenges related to today’s environment. At this year’s NMUN conference, delegations will discuss the following topics:
1.Climate Change and Health
2.Sustainable Consumption and Production
3.Desertification and Drought
With five committees present, this year’s MainMUN was a weekend full of diplomatic discussions and insightful debates. Despite the online environment, almost 120 delegates took part in making this conference an unforgettable and interconnected experience!
What an honor to hear diplomat talk – we are grateful to our special guest Vadim Gusman, First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN, for the insights into the work of the permanent mission under the circumstances of the corona pandemic. New lessons learned!
The UNECE is composed of 56 members and the vast majority are located in Europe. The topics to be discussed at NMUN 2021 are the development of sustainable transportation infrastructure, technical cooperation with emerging economies and the promotion of sustainable energy.
The topics before the GA3 at NMUN 2021 are: “Rights of Indigenous People”, “Empowering Conflict-Affected Children and Youth” and “Implementing the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities”. Our delegates are looking forward to fruitful debates!
Yesterday, our delegation had the chance to take part in a UN Virtual Tour! This session gave us the opportunity to take a look at the UN headquarters and its fascinating artworks from the comfort of our homes. The work of the UN has also been presented by our tour guide.
Being one of the six main committees of the UN General Assembly, the GA2 deals with financial and economic matters. Debates at NMUN 2021 will evolve around the topics financing for development, ICTs for sustainable economic and financial development and disaster risk reduction.
Yesterday, our delegation had the honor of meeting with Kathrin Deschauer, press officer @GermanyUN. A valuable opportunity to get more first-hand impressions of the world of diplomacy – thank you!
The GA1 is one of the main committees of the General Assembly handling questions about disarmament and international security. At NMUN 2021, the topics under discussion will be:
1. the creation of a nuclear weapon free zone
2. state behavior in cyberspace
3. illicit arms trade.
