1. Recently we were lucky enough to be given a couple of kayaks. 🛶

In the last two weeks, we (me, husband, & our nature ❤ 8yr old) have been out in them twice.

Busy day out and about in the glorious North Wales sunshine! This morning we're here at the Eirianfa Community Centre in #Denbigh to help with all things housing .

@gracepetrie Geography, particularly rivers. This seems to come up in quizzes and crosswords and I'm always stumped. That and how to do cryptic crosswords. I've sat with a list of the questions and the actual answers, and still don't understand how the hell you get from one to the other.

I know it’s Grinchy, but I just KEEP thinking of the difference it could make to authors, & UK publishing. if all the ££ spent on #WorldBookDay costumes went on new books instead, or if each school pooled together all that costume ££, & paid for an author or illustrator visit.

This idea of sacrificing yourself on the alter of your kids, and suspending every other element of your personality for 20 years, helps no one, least of all them. It belongs in the bin. This is a hill I'll die on.

What nonsense is this??!

I spend my days dividing my time between work and child. Child come first. I adore him and love our time together. But, y'know what, he needs money to live, which I earn.

@TheFigen_ When people say they need some time away from their kids, girl's/boy's night out, away from kids and husbands/wife.. to me, it sounds ridiculous and it looks like they werent ready for a family life. We only have a limited amt of time with them, treasure every moment

Most importantly, it shows my son that I am first and always his mum, but am also a person in my own right. Something he enjoys seeing, and will stand him in good stead when he, perhaps, has his own kids.
