Peapods Finance welcomes $pOHM as a core integration into their new v2 Green Arrow pod release, fundamentally upgrading the liquidity mechanics of all Pods.

🫛@PeapodsFinance enables the permissionless creation of weighted and unweighted index positions called “Pods” on Ethereum. These positions are then made liquid, so anyone can easily gain exposure to popular asset profiles.

♻️Users may then stake these positions to earn deflationary $PEAS, which captures the fees from expanding or contracting the supply of pods, and through constant arbitrage between the price of the pod and its underlying assets.

🌯Stake $OHM in a Green Arrow pod for $pOHM

$OHM can be wrapped into $pOHM, which can be held in isolation, unwrapped, sold in liquid markets or used as a pairing asset throughout the Peapods ecosystem. Due to fee capture from arbitrage via wrapping and unwrapping $pOHM, $pOHM will forever appreciate versus $OHM.

✨The New $pOHM Integration✨

Previously, Pods were made liquid by pairing with $DAI. Today, with the launch of Green Arrow pods, ALL pods have the option to use $pOHM as the liquid pairing. Pods paired with $pOHM inherit the superior LP characteristics of OHM over pegged assets, including the reduction of impermanent loss (IL) and appreciating backing. The free floating nature of OHM also enables greater arbitrage opportunities which in turn enhances the volatility farming of the pods.

🤔How?

Unlike stablecoins, $OHM is not pegged and floats freely with Range Bound Stability (RBS) boundaries. This generally allows it to move more correlated with an appreciating pairing asset vs. being flat and fixed. This range also allows for sufficient volatility to enable effective arbitrage for pods in the Peapod ecosystem.

OHM’s backing is composed of sDAI, which is the interest bearing asset of MakerDAO’s DAI Savings Rate (DSR). This price appreciation raises the floor of RBS over time. Every OHM in circulation is fully backed and can be bought back and burned if the price of OHM drops beneath liquid backing.
