85. City Hunter (1993)
Admittedly, I haven't gone through the source material so while I can't comment on its faithfulness I CAN say that this is a hilarious movie on par with some of Jackie Chan's other greats. Easily him at his most cartoony.
Go watch it. Right now.
84. Project Hail Mary (2026)
Watched this with my family last night and while I do think the nearly 3 hour runtime was a bit much, all in all this was a fun, shockingly heartfelt movie. Who knew Ryan Gosling and an actual fucking rock would have such good chemistry?
@bugpostin I'm glad to see so many people like him. Me and my watch group have grown really fond of him to the point where we lovingly nicknamed him "Space Dante".
@Tom_Nguy3n Pretty much any scene where the characters break through the Zone, or are on the verge of breaking through the Zone. In particular, the Japan Cup and Arima Kinen have really cool climaxes that wouldn't be too out of place in a Shonen manga.
I don't know how long it'll take, but I want to become an animator again, and I hope that by pouring my feelings into drawings like this, I can achieve that goal.
I hope you'll stick with me until then.
Yesterday, I found myself thinking about my future. In spite of majoring in animation, I've found my art skills and work ethic to be super lacking, so I had to give it some serious thought.
I don't know if I believe in myself. But I DO know that I want to draw. So bad it hurts.
I spent all day feeling really shitty and used all those feelings to draw this. This is a character I used in a few short films in college as a stand-in for myself, with a helmet designed by my friend.
Used this wonderful piece for reference:

@Radrappy Gurren Lagann is my favorite anime of all time but I will say, Diebuster is probably one of the reasons why it wound up how it did. It's a damn good anime in its own right, but it also very much feels like the "missing link" of sorts between FLCL and Gurren Lagann.
@Exalted_Speed Me waiting for the show to end with setup for John becoming Kyle's mentor as a direct inversion of his role with Hal knowing full goddamn well that's never going to happen
