@Oakman221@aturcanu@krassenstein It would take 10 years to build factories and infrastructure (but even then, not all industries can do this). But corporations won’t build here because they have no guarantee that tariffs will still be high enough after that amount of time to make it worthwhile.
I’m happy to report that much of my community seems now to have migrated to bluer skies and I’ve been thrilled to welcome them there. If bullies take over your gaming table, let them fight amongst themselves over who cheats best. I’ll be over there playing co-op games. Join us.
@elizhargrave In Maryland: “Cranesville Swamp is a boreal peat bog relic left behind from the Pleistocene Epoch. 15,000 years ago, after the last Ice Age, the climate warmed but many of the boreal plants remain to this day…in a mountain valley bowl known as a frost pocket.”
@sumfatkid As for being a bad friend in the relationships you want to continue, it’s not that uncommon for people to not have the spoons to actively keep up relationships. And folks with some types of neurofunctioning don’t do well with this either. It’s all ok.
@sumfatkid Unless there are ongoing expectations, I think it’s fine to let some relationships just fade away. It would be weirder to, out of the blue, announce that something is over when nothing new has happened to cause that.
@GateGreeter My experience several years ago was getting knocked around by people’s massive backpacks. I use a stand-up rollator now for conventions and find people will generally clear space for me.
