It’s children’s day and many children across Nigeria don’t have the luxury of looking forward to treats and fun activities. Instead, they wait longingly for the solace of their homes.
They were forcefully taken, with no plan on how to get them back. This cannot become normal.
Today, on #worldovariancancerday we would like to encourage women to stop downplaying their biological experiences. Get the check up, speak to someone about your discomfort, and do not let anyone dismiss your pain 🙏🏽
There is so much going on inside a woman’s body. With pains, abnormal discharge, and hormonal imbalances being considered “normal”, many women miss the onset of ovarian cancer.

Join us and Coach @sobafemi this Friday as we discuss girl child education, outside the four walls of a classroom.

@UNDP@UNDPCrisis@UNDPGeneva@Refugees Incredible to see active measures in place to assist displaced persons and integrate them into communities💪🏼
It is essential that we all support efforts to see this done

And much more! Strive to protect your fundamental rights and respect that of others
In Sudan, sexual violence is being used as a weapon of war against women and girls.
@UN_Women is working tirelessly to provide survivors with protection, psychological support and essential medical care.
This horrific human rights violation must stop.

A phone with internet access means you can seek information.
An ID card means you can buy food and access services.
These rights should be guaranteed for everyone but for many, they don’t come easy.
Let’s protect human rights for all: https://t.co/UVCiz45L2R

What happens in the mind of an individual is not nearly talked about enough. Despite posts, campaigns, and initiatives like ours that point to the need for more conversations around the topic of mental health in Africa,
But we must start. Start with your mind, start with your wellness. Choose to take care of your health. Mind your conversations, social media/ information intake, and speak out as often as opportunity is afforded.

Digital transformation must empower and not endanger.
Yet, digital violence is escalating, silencing women and undermining democracy.
This #16Days of Activism, we call for urgent, coordinated action to make online spaces safe for all.

World AIDS Day reminds us to raise awareness, protect communities, and stand in solidarity in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It honors the strength of those living boldly while navigating daily challenges, and recognizes the tireless efforts of stakeholders providing life-saving services to vulnerable populations.
Through the ASPIRE project, supported by PEPFAR, SCIDaR advances HIV efforts in Rivers, Nasarawa, and the FCT by strengthening linkage to care, laboratory capacity, case identification, and enhanced adherence counselling. ASPIRE has reached thousands of women and built health workers’ capacity in clinical management and empathetic care.
Let’s stand with millions worldwide to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and champion equitable access to HIV care!
