Anand Ranganathan: “Look, I’m a professor myself. If I saw a student cheating during an exam, I would stop him. So just because the student is from SC/ST, would his father file an SC/ST case against me too?

No, this crosses a line for me. That’s why I request the government to abolish the SC/ST Act, at least in education, so people cannot use false cases like this against professors.”🙏

साहिल वकोड़े IIT बॉम्बे के छात्र थे। परीक्षा चल रही थी। पूरा प्रश्नपत्र AI एप्प को अपलोड कर के उत्तर कॉपी में लिख रहे थे। प्रोफेसर ने पकड़ लिया। बाहर ले गए, डाँटा और कहा कि संस्थान के नियम स्पष्ट हैं आप चोरी करते पकड़े गए तो सस्पेंड किए जा सकते हो।

साह���ल ने बाद में आत्महत्या कर ली। माँ-बाप ने पोस्टमार्टम के बाद भी शव नहीं लिया क्योंकि उन्हें न्याय चाहिए। न्याय पाने के लिए उन्होंने मोदी एक्ट की धाराएँ लगवा दीं प्रोफेसर पर।

एक लड़का आरक्षण से IIT पहुँचा। कम नंबर न आए, इसलिए चोरी कर रहा था। वह टॉपर बनना चाह रहा था। पर एक मनुवादी शिक्षक ने उसे कॉलेज के कानून बताए, सस्पेंड किया भी नहीं। उसने आत्महत्या कर ली।

क्या एक दलित को फोन ले जाने अनुमति नहीं होनी चाहिए? क्या ऐतिहासिक प्रताड़ना के कारण उसको ओपन मोबाइल परीक्षा देने की अनुमति नहीं होनी चाहिए?

आज एक ब्राइट स्टूडेंट, जो जेट इंजन बना सकता था AI से पूछ कर, हमारे बीच इसलिए नहीं रहा क्योंकि उससे पहले ही चरण में रोक लिया गया। मोदी एक्ट इसीलिए बना ही है।

Dr Doolla is an acclaimed professor of Energy Sciences at IIT Bombay. An MTech and a PhD from IIT, he has received excellence in teaching award twice. He recently caught a student cheating. The student committed suicide.

Dr Doolla has now been charged under the SC/ST Act.

IIT बॉम्बे के छात्र साहिल वाकोड़े परीक्षा में मोबाइल लेकर पकड़े गए। IIT के मुताबिक प्रश्नपत्र ChatGPT पर अपलोड कर जवाब लेने की कोशिश की गई.

ड्यूटी पर मौजूद प्रोफेसर सूर्यनारायण डूला ने पकड़ लिया। IIT का दावा है कि न सस्पेंड किया, न कोई अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की—काउंसलिंग करके वापस भेज दिया.

फिर साहिल की मौत हो गई। परिवार ने जातिगत उत्पीड़न के आरोप लगाए और अब प्रोफेसर पर SC/ST Act और आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने की FIR दर्ज है। IIT ने जातिगत भेदभाव के आरोपों से इनकार किया है.

अब जरा इस व्यवस्था पर सवाल पूछिए...

परीक्षा में नकल रोकना अपराध है या जाति देखकर नकल रोकनी चाहिए?

क्या IIT में परीक्षा के नियम भी अब जाति देखकर लागू होंगे ?

मोबाइल लेकर परीक्षा में बैठना—नियमों का उल्लंघन
AI पर प्रश्नपत्र डालकर जवाब लेना—गंभीर सवाल
प्रोफेसर का पकड़ना—उसका काम

लेकिन छात्र की मौत के बाद अगर हर सवाल का जवाब SC/ST Act में खोजा जाएगा, तो कल शायद परीक्षा में नकल पकड���ने से पहले invigilator को यह पूछना पड़े “पहले जाति बता दीजिए, फिर नकल रोकूं”

जातिगत भेदभाव के आरोपों की निष्पक्ष जांच होनी चाहिए, लेकिन जांच से पहले किसी को दोषी घोषित करना भी न्याय नहीं है।

नकल रोकने वाला शिक्षक अपराधी और नकल करने वाला पीड़ित—क्या यही नया अकादमिक मॉडल है?

बेटा चीटिंग करते पकड़ा गया, शिक्षक ने समझाया कि मत करो, सस्पेंड हो सकते हो। लज्जा से आत्महत्या कर ली। बाप की चिंता यह है कि मोदी एक्ट लगवा कर तुरंत कंपनसेशन मिल जाए।

मोदी जी की सबसे सफल स्टार्ट-अप योजना मोदी एक्ट ही है। किसी को बेटी ब्याहनी है, दो सवर्णों पर मोदी एक्ट लगवाओ, फिर उन्हें कहो कि २ लाख दो तो वो पीछे ले लेंगे केस, सरकार भी पैसा देगी। कोई क��डनी की पथरी का इलाज करवा रहा है।

ऐसे में मोदी जी कैसे हटा देंगे यार! IIT के प्रोफेसर का क्या है, कोई और आ जाएगा।
