#Israel did not cause every pager in #Lebanon and Syria to explode. The pagers that exploded were Hezbollah-owned, issued to Hezbollah terrorists for military communications. Military communications devices are as much a part of waging war as munitions. (1/3)

Hezbollah has been launching unprovoked rocket attacks at Israel for ten months, killing civilians and destroying property.
Why is The NY Times calling this a preemptive attack by Israel? Why not call it a response to Hezbollah raining down missiles on Israel for ten months?
