Hey @jronald, reposting. I know the team is working on this, but new Series consoles still can’t connect to Xbox Live for 360 games or download a 360 profile, making backwards compatible titles unplayable.

This happens on both Ethernet and WiFi, and I’ve already tried troubleshooting. I’ve submitted a Report a Problem and contacted support multiple times. They said it’s a legacy auth issue and even suggested using a 360 instead, saying Series X doesn’t really support it, which seems off.

A lot of people online, especially on Reddit, are reporting the same issue and it seems like this is affecting new consoles specifically.

I just bought this console, and it’s my first Xbox since owning an Xbox One and 360 back in the day. I came back mainly because of the push around preserving backwards compatibility, so this has been pretty disappointing. I have until May 9 to return it.

Any update on a fix timeline? I can DM details and help test if needed.

@SodomFFSFA26 @XboxSupport Apparently it’s been an issue that happens often. I also recently bought a new series S and returned it for the same issue. Went and got a Xbox one and works fine.
