After finishing all the translated Visual Novels by studio AUGUST (Yoake Mae, Fortune Arterial, Aiyoku no Eustia, Daitoshokan, Sen no Hatou), I made a tier list with all their characters. Overall excellent casts

@Kaorumitsurugi Adaptations of story-heavy and action/chuuni-heavy VNs often suck, bc they fail to showcase and set-up all the plotpoints and mechanics.
I hope Senren*Banka's fairly simple story will allow the anime to not fumble.

@TinyGemini34 @ChoopiChoosi That's kind of the point, tho. Unlike many in the cast, Faye is stuck in the past, unable to move on, doesn't change. Kind of an antithesis of Echoes' themes, if you think about it. Regardless, she has a sad existence that isn't sugarcoated. I respect that.

@Delta35238779 @ChoopiChoosi Echoes' themes are about progress & growth: move past age of gods, future in humans' hands, Alm/Celica aim for a brighter future, etc. Gray, Kliff, Delthea, Jesse, Valbar also display similar things. Instead, Faye stagnates, stuck in past, unable to move on: like a sad antithesis

@TheOtherCano @ChoopiChoosi Unlike Tharja/Camilla, whose flaws are played up comically or sexually, Faye's are played straight. Whether you agree with the implication that the war is worsening Faye's mental or not, she never gets over her obsession with Alm. There's no "I can fix her" angle, it's just sad
