Just 2 contracts of MNQ using my strategy. Backtested on Tradingview.
However, this cannot be trusted. Even as the person who coded the strategy, I know this is too good to be true.

To put it in better terms,
V1 is "When I wake up and check, it is what it is. You win some, you lose some"
V2 is "When I wake up, Ill be surprised that it lost a trade"
V2 simply provides more security and stableness! It also is more align with what I deem as "my style"
While my original algo was good, I knew it could be better. As of the late, I have been working on V2 and I am proud to say that it absolutely blows V1 and other iterations out of the water.
2MNQ contracts
V2: $14,352 with ~76.1% W/R
V1: $18,061 with ~36.43% W/R
V2 was built around the faults of V1 + better trading entry logic. What makes V2 better than V1 isn't through changing numbers thus NO OVERFITTING.
It purely is the entry and overall detection logic!
V1 is still good, but genuinely, even I am not sure how...
6/30
$6501 -> $7061
~5-6 trading days used to go from $5000 to $7061. Genuinely very happy considering I only used 1 contract for the most part. Obviously if I had a bigger balance I would've stayed at 2 contracts but I am proud of this progress regardless!
6/29
$6099 -> $6501
slow and steady does it. still using 1 MNQ contract for now. I
f I had used 2 MNQ contract, I would already be at $7000+ but again, money is money and safety first!
Wouldn't have been possible without @QuantVPS. Its been 2 weeks and 0 disconnections on the Lite Plan. Affordable and reliable!
Definitely recommend anyone running algos/bots to try them out.
*Not affiliated at all. Just a happy customer
To add on this,
During Asian session, algo took 2MNQ contracts for ~$400
At night I switched it to just 1 contract
It went 2-0 and made $500. ($250 per)
Total was $900 for the day (not including commission)
If I kept it on 2 contracts, it would’ve been $1.4k but safety >
@TheStonkDad out of curiosity, when it comes to automated trading for futures market,
do you think after xyz amount of profit, you should stop the bot for the day?
Or
let it run as its meant to be ran 24/7 without any human interaction.
@Oraclecapital__ thought it would get better when i wrote my algo, now im more torn about, should I stop the algo after it makes profit or keep letting it run as it is supposed to be an algo
definitely less emotions from manual trading, but its still there...
4/24 update. Personal Account now
Tradeify account gone sadly. There was a disconnection, trade was improperly managed.
Now, I am using a VPS (QuantVPS). There has been 0 disconnections for this ENTIRE week.
I am now using my personal account. $5000 -> $5519 today
@GGxTrades very interesting! How has the forward testing been for you? I forward tested for a week on a sim account and then moved to a prop account! My only thing is the Ninjatrader session disconnects so I pick up less trades sadly.
