I'm the head of the indie video game development studio Goldhawk, working on the Xenonauts franchise (spiritual successors to the classic X-Com games).
We're looking for an experienced Unity particle artist to make some cool projectile / explosion / fire effects for Xenonauts-2. If you're interested, please send a few work examples to [email protected] - and if other devs have any recommendations, please let me know!
@ThiSimoes Sure, I'm right here on Twitter (well, once a week or so), or you can send me a message direct to my inbox using the contact form on our website: https://t.co/PsIBEievqu
@Inclined2Chaos Potentially after Xenonauts 2 is done, yeah - we've designed the codebase to be reusable, we just have to decide what type of TBS game to make next :)
@RKade8583 We are planning to add text / UI scaling, so hopefully it'll do what you need to let you play X2 - but unfortunately I can't 100% promise it!
@RKade8583 I seriously doubt we're high-profile enough to warrant Epic offering to throw money at us, so don't worry about that. Re: text scaling I can't easily say because our UI could probably support some kind of text scaling (but not unlimited) and I'm not sure how big is big enough
@Aavak_ Yeah, I've had emails from a number of people about it. Drop me a line at chris(at)https://t.co/JdTMmAwIpq and I'll send you a brief statement reaffirming we own the copyright and you're allowed to use the music.
Xenonauts-2 needs a Design & Community Assistant, a full-time role based in London (UK). If you're interested: https://t.co/F293WUMkzD #gamedevjobs
Thanks for the retweets on the writer post, everyone! We've got another position that I'd like to advertise (following shortly) and it'd be great if you could retweet or pass it to anyone who might be interested - this one is a full-time job based in London.
@DrWolfsherz My email address is chris(at)https://t.co/JdTMmAwIpq - but the form on our website redirects the message to the same place, so whatever's easier.
