The five-second epistemology of Araghchi’s tour and the triangle is now visible from space.

Araghchi posts in sequence over four days. Three days ago: timely tour of Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow. Two days ago: very fruitful visit to Pakistan, whose good offices and brotherly efforts to bring back peace to our region we very much value. One day ago: appreciative of my gracious hosts in Oman, the two of us as the only Hormuz littoral states focused on safe transit. Three days, three capitals, two thank-yous on the public record, one Moscow stop yet to be tweeted but already on the schedule. The geometry is no longer a hint. The geometry is a triangle drawn in public on Iranian state social media in plain English.

The escort that brought the plane home is the security guarantee that brought the diplomat back.

Muscat. Oman is the country Iran has now publicly named as the only other Hormuz littoral state. That phrase is the legal frame for the new Strait regime the Al-Mayadeen framework named tonight. Stage two of the three-stage Iranian negotiating menu specifies a new legal regime for the Strait, in coordination with the Omani side. Araghchi just tweeted the precondition for stage two from inside the Omani foreign ministry. The two of us. The only two. The neighbors. The architecture of the new Strait regime is being drafted inside the building Araghchi was tweeting from yesterday afternoon.

Moscow. The third stop is the great-power balancer for the bilateral arrangement Pakistan and Oman are constructing under Iran. Russia is not in the same role as Pakistan and Oman. Russia is the umbrella. Russia is the strategic partnership that converts a regional security architecture into a Eurasian security architecture. Russia is also the country with the second nuclear umbrella in the geometry, alongside Pakistan, with Iran sitting under both. Two umbrellas. One harbormaster. One trusted Omani mediator. The empire is not in the geometry. The empire is across the table.

Russland hat 1,5 Millionen Gefallene und die Ukraine 500.000, behauptete heute wieder einmal ein prominenter Account.

Bereits zu Beginn des Krieges waren die Opferzahlen 10–15 zu 1 zugunsten Russlands gegenüber der Ukraine. So etwas erfuhr man, wenn man damals Vorlesungen von AfD-Politikern zuhörte, die diese Infos aus dem deutschen Verteidigungsausschuss hatten.

Der Grund dafür ist ganz einfach: Russland war von Anfang an der Ukraine 20 zu 1 in der Artilleriestärke überlegen. Wenn also die Ukraine fünf Artilleriegranaten schießen konnte, flogen ihr 100 entgegen. In allen anderen Waffenkategorien war Russland ebenfalls mindestens 10 zu 1 bis zu 15 zu 1 überlegen.

Zusätzlich hatte Russland gigantische Altbestände an Munition aus dem Kalten Krieg, die aufgearbeitet werden konnten, und das gesamte Militär war in den letzten zehn Jahren durch Putin modernisiert worden.

Nach einem anfänglichen Kriegsgewirr von einigen Wochen, bis sich die Frontlinien stabilisiert hatten, gingen die Russen in einen äußerst konservativen Abnutzungskrieg über. Stellungen der Ukrainer wurden mit Artillerie zu Großraumparkplätzen heruntergebombt, bis man das, was übrig war, eroberte.

Seitdem gewinnt Russland durchgehend an allen Fronten kontinuierlich, mit extrem wenigen Ausnahmen.

Und zuletzt ist die medizinische Versorgung der Ukrainer eine Vollkatastrophe, während die russische funktioniert.

Es ist ausgeschlossen, dass es auf russischer Seite mehr Verluste gibt als auf ukrainischer. Es gibt keinen einzigen Grund, aus dem man so etwas schließen könnte. Konservativ geschätzt ist der Unterschied mindestens 4 zu 1 bei ukrainischen Gefallenen und Versehrten zu russischen, vermutlich aber wesentlich mehr.

In einem Artikel vom Februar 2025 hatte ich mit 1,2 Millionen gefallenen Ukrainern gerechnet und das auch mit OSINT-Leuten rückgesprochen, die zu ähnlichen Einschätzungen gelangt waren.

Inzwischen dürften es eher in Richtung 2 Millionen gehen. Die Ukraine hat eine Generation verheizt. Warum sonst fahren seit über zwei Jahren Presspatrouillen durch die Städte der Ukraine, um jeden Mann in einem Alter, in dem er noch aufrecht laufen kann, einzufangen, um ihn an der Front zu verheizen?

Und mit dieser Einschätzung liege ich meiner Meinung nach richtig, denn die Ukraine kämpft seit vier Jahren an einer 1.200 Kilometer langen Frontlinie in einem permanenten Granaten- und Drohnenregen gegen einen Gegner, der ihr in Masse, Klasse, Technologie, Ausrüstung und Fortschritt weit überlegen ist.

Der Krieg war bereits am ersten Tag mit einer 100%igen Garantie verloren. Da er so lukrativ für unsere Regierungen (Kickback) und Selenskyjs Freunde und Familie ist, wird damit enden, dass der Ukraine einfach die Männer ausgehen, denn Frieden will ganz offensichtlich niemand.

🎶 Iran-linked accounts are circulating a new LEGO-style propaganda video portraying U.S. and Israeli leaders as corrupt elites tied to the “Epstein files,” part of a broader online campaign aimed at undermining support for the war.

The animation depicts President Donald Trump as an “orange pig” controlled by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, depicting the entire war as a project to “make Israel Great Again.”

The chorus repeats: “Your government is run by pedophiles. They ordered you to die for Israel.”

This is also why Christian nationalism keeps coming up as a phrase even though most of the people pushing it cannot agree on what it means. The phrase is the marketing prototype for the new product. The architecture is testing whether you can sell a unified Christian identity politics that combines evangelical voters with traditionalist Catholic intellectuals and traditionalist Eastern Orthodox converts and a few protestant high-church holdouts into a single coalition that can carry elections and staff agencies and provide moral cover for wars. The phrase is fuzzy on purpose. The fuzziness lets the marketing team test which combinations work and which combinations do not. Once the architecture figures out which combination sells, the phrase will get sharper and the product will get a real name and the rollout will begin in earnest. What you are seeing now is the prototype phase. The Christian nationalism conversation is the focus group. The Catholic Disney World is the product the focus group is testing.

The Avignon threat is the architecture confessing that the prototype is moving toward production and the architecture cannot afford the actual Catholic Church to refuse to be the building the new Disney World gets built inside. The architecture needs the Vatican. The architecture does not need the actual Catholic moral teaching, which would make the Disney World impossible to build because the actual Catholic moral teaching is anti-war and anti-capital-punishment and pro-immigrant and is currently being articulated by an American pope from Chicago who is going to spend July 4 in Lampedusa with the refugees. The architecture needs the Vatican as a building, the way the architecture needed Jerusalem as a building for the evangelical version. The architecture does not need the actual people in the building. The architecture needs the institutional shell so the architecture can hang the new theme park rides on the walls of the shell and call the result Catholicism. That is what the Pentagon was demanding from Cardinal Pierre. Take our side, become the building, let us hang the rides on your walls, and we will leave the moral teaching alone in some back room that nobody visits. Refuse and we will use the Avignon playbook to make you take our side anyway.

This explains JD Vance. This explains the recent intellectual conversions. This explains why every conservative think tank is suddenly publishing essays about the natural law. This explains why Hoover and the Federalist Society and Claremont have been quietly funding integralist scholars for fifteen years. The architecture saw the evangelical product losing market share and started building the Catholic product as a hedge. The Catholic product has higher production values, more institutional history, better aesthetics, and a clearer claim to universal moral authority. It is a better theme park. It is also still a theme park. The fact that it is a better theme park makes it more dangerous, not less, because the better the theme park the harder it is for the audience to recognize that they are inside a theme park. The evangelical Disney World was easy to spot from outside because the production values were bad. The Catholic Disney World will be much harder to spot from outside because the production values are excellent and the building it is being constructed inside is two thousand years old and beautiful.
