Truly sad that at this point I think we need to accept our annual #Swallow family are not returning this year. Nests are empty and no prospecting. They’ve not returned and I hate wondering why. 😢

@DrIanBedford We get butterflies like ringlets, meadow brown, small skippers, and common types like peacock, tortishell, red admirals, whites, sometimes painted lady, and then some years are better than others - hopefully good this year!

Finally getting to see the differences in the flesh was amazing - the bank voles just look so huge being carried by a weasel 😂

I had never managed to see a weasel, but recently one emerged from our long grass very close to me, having a good look round before disappearing back down what I suspect was bank vole holes - I couldn’t believe how small he was!!

This Woman was a hero. There are others like her, and they are being slaughtered trying to save lives that have no ability to rescue themselves. I'm crying for her, heartbroken for her family and those she won't be able to help now.
