5 STEPS TO PURE IRON CONTACT

1. Weight Forward: Set 60% of your weight on your lead foot at address — and keep it there through impact.

2. Hands Ahead of Ball: Your grip should be slightly ahead of the clubhead at impact — this delofts the club for crisp contact.

3. Steep Angle of Attack: Hit down on the ball, not up. Compress the ball against the turf for a clean strike.

4. Divot After the Ball: The clubhead bottoms out AFTER striking the ball — your divot should start in front of where the ball was.

5. Accelerate Through Impact: Never decelerate. Trust the strike and swing through to a full, balanced finish.

One of the overlooked things that many amateurs miss out is how to “maintain” your swing. Once you know your tendencies, you should have a tool box of feels and drills you do regularly to keep your swing in good shape. Most days I do ultra-slow, overdone swings to really dig into my feels and key thoughts. Don’t just smash balls, have a plan 👍💪🏼👌🏼
