Golf Mental Game Coach passionate about helping golfers find that missing piece after they have spent time and money on everything else to improve their game.
When playing poorly many golfers get mad because they believe it demonstrates to themselves (and others) that they “care” about their game/score.
Getting mad “proves” they care, it "proves" they will not tolerate bad shots and are there to shoot the best score possible.
Yet, getting mad (angry, frustrated, annoyed, etc…) typically HINDERS your ability to perform your best.
So… golfers get mad to prove to themselves (and others) that they care, but getting mad actually reduces the likelihood you will play well.
If you ACTUALLY cared about your game, and playing as well as possible, you would not get mad at your poor shot(s).
You would figure out a way to get past your poor shots and be completely in the present moment, with no thought of the past, or worry about the future.
