I've been a car guy. I wanted to be a race car driver when I was kid
Now, I couldn't. Cars have become logistics and transportation. F1 feels cuck. Tuning scenes are a memory of a memory of a memory. Here in Portugal we're still fucking around with 2003 diesel Ibizas.
You sit down and feel the leather beneath you. It doesn't mean anything anymore, you could be riding an Uber
Breathe in. Smells like an electronics factory in Guangzhou. Breathe out. You open your eyes and... yearn to be sitting in traffic?
@Empty_America Why do you reckon that is?
I find there is a great deal of "playing pretend" in corporate environments, and there's a blurred line between office politics and straight up gossip.
These aren't appealing, but still useful in keeping yourself entertained while sending PDFs around
Very insightful. We need to urgently halt gender discourse. I've resorted to comparing it to jerking off
"Look, everyone's somewhat into it, just don't do it in public"
This is the natural outcome of the intersection between female intrasexual competition and puritanism.
Intrasexual competition:
Basically, women have an innate drive to undermine their competition and convince each other that they themselves are not competition.
The former surfaces in convincing one another that men find random things attractive that either men don't or that the competition doesn't have, often both.
Huge breasts (always bigger than YOU have), weird cosmetic surgery, being far underweight or overweight, gross piercings, tattoos, caked makeup, bitchy attitudes, extensive educations, careers, hatred of motherhood.
The list goes on and on! They'll applaud each other on their commitment to wasting effort and/or ruining themselves.
The latter mostly surfaces as performative man-hating. You can't be competition if you hate the would-be prize.
Puritanism:
Today it is nearly taboo for the sexes to acknowledge one another.
Boys and girls don't play together.
Shows of attraction and affection are shunned or, worse, punished (after being interpreted as some sort of abuse).
Even speaking about it openly is often cause for attack (and I guarantee you will see some of that in the replies if this post hits a broader audience).
There's little opportunity for men and women to interact as men and women naturally interact.
Conclusion:
So, women, who are under the duress of intrasexual competition, have no counterbalancing and grounding force. They won't be able to interact candidly with men. At worst, they can't even hear the truth from their friends or their own parents.
In effect, women are running a psy op on themselves and there's nothing to stop it.
They have no opportunity to learn what men like and, in particular, that men like THEM pretty much as they are.
They never realize that, no, the other women don't actually hate men, that the terrible things everyone says about men are either entirely incorrect or much more innocuous than made out to be.
Women get trapped in a bubble where they're led to believe men are monsters that dislike them for who they are because that's all anyone says about them.
So OF COURSE they'd hate men "back"!
Bill Gates “saved” Africa… by DESTROYING their food supply 🚨
Forrest Galante: “I’m going to go on a f-ing rant here.
They gave millions of mosquito nets out to all these people to avoid malaria. Guess what the people who are starving to death did with their mosquito nets. They fished with them.
Mosquito net has a hole that is so small that a mosquito can’t get through. So guess what? These mosquito nets now indiscriminately catch tiny baby fish in areas like Cahora Bassa where the fish go to breed and reproduce and populate. So now all of a sudden you have thousands and thousands of people that have been handed nets that have been living one way for hundreds of thousands of years. They don’t give a shit about malaria.
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation come in, hand out millions of mosquito nets, absolutely collapse the entire population of fish that feed millions of people because these people just take the nets and fish all the baby fish out so that those fish don’t grow up to make substantial protein sources. So now these wonderful philanthropists that have given out millions of nets have destroyed an ecosystem, crashed a fish population, and created widespread hunger for people that otherwise had plenty of resources. All because they were trying to help with their mosquito nets.
They’ve taken such a rich and important part of Africa, one of the most abundant freshwater fisheries in the world, and destroyed it because they’re ‘helping’ by handing out mosquito nets.
And they’re still giving out mosquito nets, by the way. And you literally watch these guys line up, take a mosquito net, and it never goes in their house. It goes straight to catching fish for them to eat.”
I think degeneracy is a rational response to the current situation— a world of mass leisure & short work weeks is one in which it is no longer rational to “binge” — a world where going to bed early isn’t a sacrifice of free time to work for oneself… most bad habits of the times are just adaptations to the environment. Becoming a shut-in NEET is a rational response to the economy.
Reflection on the Zeitgeist:
As we initially replaced every aspect of our bodies with machines that could outproduce what we're independently capable of, we drew more cache toward the intellect, whose miracle defied reproduction longer than any hinge or joint.
As our intellect is replaced, man is displaced in his own world. We build intelligent cybernetic mechanisms. The crisis becomes: Where does my body fit into this? What was I really all along? All of this spirit and soul, where does it go, and what was it all for?
Nietzsche answered for this, and we've seen it in the tech sphere, even stated openly. Thus Spake Zarathustra:
"I love him who liveth in order to know, and seeketh to know in order that the Superman may hereafter live. Thus seeketh he his own down-going. I love him who laboureth and inventeth, that he may build the house for the Superman, and prepare for him earth, animal, and plant: for thus seeketh he his own down-going. I love him who loveth his virtue: for virtue is the will to down-going, and an arrow of longing. I love him who reserveth no share of spirit for himself, but wanteth to be wholly the spirit of his virtue: thus walketh he as spirit over the bridge."
Never was a better book written to understand the pathology of the modern era, of the underlying motivational force in life itself, that it exists to replace itself, and to reproduce. We are this mechanism seeking improvement through reproduction, and how often does this necessitate our own replacement? Truly, then, is death not as much a miracle as life itself?
Oh, to be so bound, to be so bound to such a body and such a time. What becomes of our efforts?
We return to Socrates: "Those who pursue philosophy aright study nothing but dying and being dead."
@misraetel I don't know why you of all people are talking about this (I'll have to watch the video), but I admire your empathy
You'll feel like a foreign man in your own town if your looks decrease from a 7/10 to 4/10
Received a scam call:
“hello sir, this is from blockchain speaking –“
let me ask you something. What’s your ethnicity?
“what?”
Are you Indian? Or just spiritually Indian?
“do I sound Indian?”
Mate, you’re trying to scam me. Can’t you get another job? Is this your life?
I know. I’m sorry. It’s a fucked up world.
“You see, if I see you I wouldn’t do this, but on the phone its different. I don’t care, I even talk with the negative people, I like to to talk with them and take their money. What do you do?”
I’m in sales. My job is a lot like yours.
