@Josh_Scoop @AlexCRobinson I guess it's that I'm not looking that play in isolation, but rather as yet another in a pattern in which Mateer chooses the big play option and it leads to a negative outcome.

Earlier, Kanak was wide open, but he went for the big play and missed. Lather, rinse, repeat.

@Josh_Scoop @AlexCRobinson When presented with two options, a flashy big chunk option or a more vanilla but higher percentage option, Mateer will almost always go for the former (while throwing too hard, too).

But he's so mistake prone, it often costs them. IMO he should play it safer.
