Crazy happy with how this turned out.
I feel like I might be the only person who gets this, but go watch Minky Momo. It’s on Crunchyroll, and you will be different by the end of episode 46.
#MinkyMomo#OnePunchMan
the first time I launched into the game as an ogyginus, the resident megalograptus immediately grabbed me and ate me.
the model itself looks right at home in-game though!!
once I get the animations and other functions looking right I'll post some videos
@ryosharke You could probably cheat by pairing up a few, maybe on alternate sides line the funky way spiders walk?
Unless the only downside is the process, in which case, heck yeah!
@ryosharke Gotta say to, they turn and move in a satisfying way. A lot of loooong NPCs like that tend to swivel awkwardly on one point in other games, but their movement looks more dynamic and appropriately fluid, if only because of how the tail trails and sways.
@ryosharke Like there’s no way it’d be simple, right? I can only imagine it being a a goofy physics nightmare for a WHILE until everything was buttoned down just right.
And there just aren’t tutorials out there for turning critters into Wander dangling one armed off a Colossus. 😅
@ryosharke Then most fights, for Ligabueino would be more so a wrestling match mixed with tug o war, doing your best to stay out of biting/kicking distance while holding on for dear life, or shaking smaller prey like a dog.
Grab in a bad spot and you could be in perfect stomping range.
@ryosharke My thinking is that they would automatically “reach” towards any valid target, but nothing will happen unless you actually click to bite.
So it’s a visual indicator that you’re in range, and kindof an auto-aim, together.
Also a good indicator if you’re playing as the prey.
@ryosharke The “hold to ram-feed” makes a lot of sense for a roster with playable fish! Is that what happened in that one clip where the fish snagged you (tiny sea scorp) while running from the big sea scorp?
@ryosharke That rocks! I’ve been theory crafting my own project, but as a total newcomer to 3D game dev, I have no idea where to even START.
Like I really want to play around with ecosystem simulation and 3D tug of war and IK Arboreal climbing, but at this point I’m stuck on paper.
