@Owennfa I’m not trying to shirk the responsibility that Boomers and GenX had to have caught and fixed this issue early on. I’m saying I sorta caught it but didn’t explore the right way to fix it
@Owennfa FWIW, I saw this issue in the early 2000 as a college booster. I attempted to get a family member journalist to get some engagement in writing about it. I had just enough inside knowledge to see it was a sharp increase in admin costs. Journalist told me there was no interest
The thing that winds me up is how Elon has a trillion because he’s set up a system where he forcibly takes 40% of what hard working people produce, leverages it up as debt, spends it ineffectively and does dumb things to win the votes of millions of people who’ve become dependent on his handouts.
@iky_fwjett I would like for you to go back to 1956 and explain to my aunt who worked as a bookkeeper, saved her money to buy an orchard, managed that orchard, and died a millionaire how she needed Gloria Steinem to be successful. I’d really really like to see that.
The left won.
The world's richest man is an electric vehicle manufacturer who is decarbonising the atmosphere while helping quadriplegics, restoring space travel, and making the internet and freedom of speech widely available across the globe.
Unfortunately most of the people who identified as "left" were simply pathological grief merchants with oppositional defiance disorder. They build nothing. They stand for nothing.
@JohnQPinkney@bennyjohnson@Nursekatejohn A lot of Caucasian kids are born with blonde hair and blue eyes that darken as they age. Like baby fawns change colors as they get older.
i see people are upset that elon didn't generate his wealth the right way, drawing a 7 figure annual salary from a prestigious washington dc based ngo with a 25% program expense ratio
@ShreekyLette@rhinohpc@dianas552017@SpaceX@elonmusk To nitpick a little: I’ve been really poor. Like ‘allocating the food I had in the cabinet by the number of days I had until I could buy more’ poor. That’s no longer my situation but maybe I’m a little sensitive. Anyway, can we agree to say “low income” instead of “low class”?
@JasonMcClu61275@MikeB2B@Mericamemed I will starve because personal vehicles become well designed to the point they can self fly? What are GM and Dodge gonna be fueling these Jetson craft with? Burgers and chik fil an and chocolate ice cream?
@MikeB2B@JasonMcClu61275@Mericamemed One day cars will be self flying and “roads” will be in the air, and stackable, and the paved roads can be 100% for bikes, skateboarding, etc. I hope that happens in my lifetime
@smitty0714@Oyalight@jimstewartson YMMV but I’ve seen white conservatives be ready to fight a white (liberal ) woman over her insults and mistreatment to Larry Elder
@MikeB2B@JasonMcClu61275@Mericamemed Why do you say “have” to? Only in order to keep the existing access, would government “have” to build dedicated bike lanes, which I support But another option is “yeah, sorry bike riders, you’re just gonna lose some access that you currently have”.
