"We are not a company, we are a FAMILY."
"We're all in this TOGETHER."
"We need to work harder the next few months."
"Reduce labor across the board to have a chance at our bonus."
"Just tell your staff we don't have hours available now."
"Remember, we're a FAMILY"
@realMikeMDavis2 @USDOT I wonder if people actually dislike trains or just resist big ideas by default in this country. Everyone complains about how expensive air travel is but as soon as you mention a high speed rail system creating competition for airlines they say "no, that's too expensive."
@QuantumFlux1964 @jtkirklin @USDOT Yeah, like the highways. All that money spent to build a highway system throughout the country only create traffic jams by all those damn 1% motorists. People with these BS arguments actually exist in Congress too!
.@HavingKids Does this support a child's right to a #FairStart, in your view, or could it accelerate overpopulation?
I can already hear the Fox argument against this proposal.

@DanPriceSeattle@kylegriffin1 Never saw a penny of the $600 because the earned income limit is based on 2019 even though the pandemic is a 2020-2021 problem.
@DanPriceSeattle The $1,800 amount is the maximum. The amounts were adjusted lower based on 2019 income, so many people didn't receive close to $1,800 despite being out of work for the majority of 2020 and into 2021.
Trump voters say in order for Biden to become a good president he needs to "unite people".
Hypocrisy aside, the burden of unity ultimately falls on the people.
@DPMiles42 @TheRealCoryElia@GrownRoom But they're arguing against freedom of speech and unaware of their hypocrisy. There's also an argument to made that it's vandalism (minor and petty) and not freedom of speech.
@DPMiles42 @TheRealCoryElia@GrownRoom Screaming at Powells employees and taping childish signs like "Andy Ngo is a lil bitch" isn't going to end that dangerous and despicable behavior. Nor is dictating which books the public should be allowed to read.
@TheRealCoryElia@GrownRoom They don't see the hypocrisy in screaming "You're supporting fascism" while trying to dictate which books the public is allowed to consume. Ngo is an awful writer and wouldn't be relevant if they didn't constantly feed him oxygen.
@it_aint_pretty_ 1) He's a terrible writer 2) his followers don't read books. This is promoting Ngo to new people who read. Luckily we're in a country where neither gov't nor activists choose the books suitable for public consumption. They're calling for the very thing they're fighting against.
